This is episoder is with Kandis Gibson. She is Counsel at a Washington, D.C. law firm where she focuses her practice on unfair trade practices, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets.  

She also has experience in complex civil litigation matters and has handled matters before U.S. District Courts and U.S. Agencies. 

In addition to her legal work, Ms. Gibson is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and endurance athlete. She is a five-time Ironman Finisher, ultra-marathoner, avid cyclist, a salsera, an aspiring drummer and a lover of all things fitness.  She loves seeing clients achieve their goals and embrace new lifestyles. She believes that an active life is the basis for a healthy life.

Ms. Gibson is a graduate of Cornell University and Howard University School of Law. She is an active Cornell University alumna and serves as a member of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network. Ms. Gibson is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Trade Commission’s Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She serves on the boards of directors of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and I Dream Academy Public Charter School.
