Satisfaction in the marriage plummeting and the effect it can have on our children can result in behavioural issues and long term effects that may not be known until much later on in life. Our guest, Janelle J Jones tells us the solution arises in how conflict and resolution is managed to have a positive impact on children as they witness the power of effective communication.

Janelle is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in individual and couples counselling. As a mother of 2, she began to realize that the women and men in her parenthood support community were continually facing the same common difficulties. Many identified with feeling burdened by the mental load of balancing competing household/relationship/work and family responsibilities. Others felt they had lost their identities along the road of becoming a mother or parent. With these complex challenges came extraordinary guilt, energy depletion, loss of patience and in some cases depression and anxiety. It was then that Janelle founded Modern Mom & Marriage Counselling and committed herself to helping mothers and couples find the joy and balance in parenting.
