It's the second full-length episode of Brady's series on racial justice, gun violence, and gun violence prevention. JJ and Kelly Sampson, Counsel at Brady, are joined by Dr. Noël A. Cazenave, a professor of sociology at the University of Connecticut, where his current work includes (but is not limited to) racism theory, criminal justice, the sociology of emotions, and kindness. Together, they speak about racism and its intersections with gun violence--and in particular, how that racism spills over into how we research, treat, and even talk about gun violence prevention and racial justice.
