The wonderful thing about having your own podcast is that you can use the platform to lift up notable voices other than your own. Especially voices that advocate for positive change. And for weeks now, I have been wanting to interview my friends Micki Webb and Whit Devereaux about their viewpoints on current race relations, the Black Lives Matter movement and social justice.

Now, she’s a coach/consultant showing other educators how to emancipate themselves from district salary schedules by starting their own immediately profitable businesses. Whit Devereaux is an award-winning author, domestic violence survivor & advocate, mentor, and motivational speaker. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit organization Not By My Own Community, helping survivors of domestic violence to rebuild their lives. Through her company, Whit Devereaux Enterprises, she assists entrepreneurs with obtaining sponsorships and gaining the attention of their target audience through media exposure and local partnerships.
