RATING
I don't know how exactly to put into words how much I love this podcast. I've listened to it all the way through either 2 or 3 times now. The script is so well written you will immediately get lost in the story. The characters are amazing and are a real joy to listen to. I cant wait to listen to the new season of this one and it will be one that I keep downloaded and listen to many, many more times.
This was an instant favorite! Less than 2 minutes in, and I'm totally hooked.A glitching radio is the only thing connecting 1 man and 1 woman in this post apocalyptic SciFi audiodrama. The voice acting is outstanding and draws you in to the story like a magnet.Subscribe to this SciFi audiodrama and get sucked in from the start!
What starts as a simple yet elegant show blossoms into a very engaging and deep addicting show. The premise is wonderful and the growth that has occurred over the course of the seasons is amazing. I am not going to talk much about the story as it would be so spoiler filled. But this is one that will hook you early and when you get caught up you will be sitting there with the rest of us waiting for more.
I've been bingeing this show hard the past few days. Excellent writing, tremendous voice acting, and a fast paced story that keeps you totally pulled in. I'm so glad to have discovered Relativity.
A mission controller on Earth and an astronaut in deep space have to help each other when the astronaut discovers he is completely alone. Established a great rapport between the leads and is building up to what looks like a refreshingly new mystery.
Things I love about this show:• How they use the VOIP delay to represent the lag between the conversations. While post shows try (or should try) to remove this in post, it fits here. • The format of two voices (mostly) carrying the story in their dialogue. (No narrator, FTW.)• Short episodes (like ~10 min).• I’m a sucker for sci-fi where shit starts and stays bad. Things I don’t mind:• The actors are good. Not great, but certain good enough to keep me engaged. • Recaps of the story so far are helpful in podcast fiction. But with relatively short episodes, they take up a lot of each. Not sure they are necessary. • I love when stories include SFX. But when you binge (43 episodes I’m catching up on), you can hear the “repeats”. It hasn’t taken me out of the story yet. Things that I wish they would fix:• Set the feed to “serial” so I don’t have to pull out my phone and manually play the next episode. Makes it hard to binge while driving, for instance.
This show starts its first episode with a simple, effective premise and elegantly expands its world and characters from there, one episode at a time. The final product is expansive and engaging, with wonderful sound design and characters. Aggressively bingeable!
I just love this podcast. The emotions, the story, the people. It catches you and doesn't let go. I'm a bit sad it's on the way to end, but also I can't wait to see the mystery finally unravel
Lee is an evil genius and must be stopped before he makes me cry again. I adore Lee's way of telling a story and making me care so much about these characters. I never wanted to step away and leave Chris and Sofia behind!
The best! I am hooked ever since the first episode. Keep up the good work! <3
Amazing writing !Extremely good voice acting !Thank you !!!!
A unique sci-fi podcast that really draws you in
Wow what a podcast. Sole survivor on a generation ship and mission control on a desease ridden earth. The connection between the two is what keeps you hooked. Not going to give any spoilers, voice acting and writing is superb. Sci-fi fans give this a listen.
Great content & writing each episode! You'll be hooked from start to finish! Hit download now! - #ODPH
Top marks across the board! Writing, acting, and design! The story feels likes it's going to be something familiar, but keeps surprising me in the best ways.
I'm a life long sci-fi fan and I love everything about this story. There's something so incredibly intimate about these 2 characters who are communicating through such a great distance via audio transmission and the way it is written makes it feel like you have stumbled upon their signal to listen to their struggle. If you are a sci-fi fan, download and enjoy, you won't regret it.
I love this show! I get so excited when a new episode comes out, the story is so amazingly well written.
A really great sci-fi podcast that hooks us in with a survival tale and a bucket load of mysteries but keeps you invested by focusing on character work. As thrilling as it is to see our characters problem solve and gather more puzzle pieces to the grand mysteries what I really loved was having our characters start to open up to one another and become a family. The early days of the show had people keeping their guards up and trying to hide in the situation at hand but to truly survive they needed to start connecting to one another, to actually feel the moments that are and have happened instead of running off to the next mystery. The sci-fi nature of having a man alone in the vastness of space with only those back at ground control to communicate with is super effective at hammering in the themes and motifs of loneliness, connection, danger, personhood, faith, and finding meaning to life. Although I found myself tired of the constant cliffhangers of every episode I cannot deny how profoundly this series affected me when it tackled tough subjects and lingered on the dread of the world around us but also the beauty of the people within it. Give this show a listen and stick with it!
A spaceship where everything has gone wrong save for the whisper-thin line of communication back to Earth. An Earth where everything has gone wrong and we send spaceships into the black to save us all. Can the connection between two people save everything? It is all relative.
