This week, it’s an all-Newslaundry panel as Basant Kumar is joined by Ashwine Kumar and Prateek Goyal.

As the conversation starts with the assembly election results in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa, Basant asks Ashwin and Prateek if they found the mandate shocking. “For an individual party to tackle BJP, whether in UP or any state in India, is impossible as of now,” says Prateek. They wonder how the BJP won in Lakhimpur Kheri where four farmers were run over by a car allegedly driven by union minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son.

Basant talks about Prateek’s report on the Prashasak Samiti and how it propagates misinformation and hateful propaganda online, at times to the benefit of the BJP.

Prateek asks Ashwin if there was any polarisation on ground in Punjab after the farm protests. They also discuss Bhagwant Mann’s victory, and how the BJP won in Goa.

This, and a lot more as they talk about what made news, what didn’t, and what shouldn’t have.
