In this interview, I talk with Dr. Job Asad from Functional Health Specialists. I have known Dr. Asad for several years and have always been impressed with his knowledge of the human body. Above all, though, he takes the time with every patient to explain everything that is going on.
I have been to several chiropractors in the past few years. It seems to be the norm that you go in, the chiropractor adjusts you, and less than 10 minutes later, you're on your way out. Whether that's typical in the chiropractic realm or not, I've never really appreciated the high throughput. I've always wanted . . . in fact, needed to know what's going on. It's just my inquisitive nature.
This is why I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Asad. He really takes that time to make sure you understand why he is doing what he's doing. And then he'll explain what YOU need to do in between your visits. A true credit to his profession.
I really enjoyed doing this interview as we spend the first half talking about the nature of chiropractic work and how it relates to various injuries as well as diseases and disorders. Then we spend the second half talking about practical applications and things you can do now to prevent any injuries (chronic or acute) from happening in the first place.
