Our guest on the podcast this week is Sean Harvey, Chief Compassion Officer, and Masculinity Guide at Warrior Compassion Men's Studio. Sean is contributing as a writer, speaker, and consultant to an emerging narrative around men's healing and transformation grounded in compassionate masculinity. Sean recently co-created a national coalition of experts developing a compassion-centered systems change model for police departments and federal law enforcement. Prior to launching Warrior Compassion Men's Studio, he served as the head of Personal Transformation and Wellbeing for Eileen Fisher. His upcoming book, Warrior Compassion, will be released in May 2022.

Today Sean shares his experience of life, of escaping Wall Street and following his soul’s calling to Washington DC where he is getting ready to inspire a global movement unlocking the healing power of men for societal systems change.

Listen in as we talk through what it means to reimagine our current systems from the faulty structures we have inherited to invite in a deeper consciousness, built on love. Sean speaks with a rare passion about “tapping into the truth of who we are”, about listening deeply and accepting ourselves, body, mind, emotions, and spirit, and choosing to live our life in service of the world. We talked about systems thinking, human-centered workplace design, and how to liberate organizational systems so that people can bring their whole selves to work.

If you are curious about following your soul’s calling, embodying the counter culture, or even what is possible for us from a systems perspective, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss. I suspect you’ll enjoy this deep dialogue as much as I did.

Key Takeaways

  • Sean’s dynamic perspective on following the truth of our soul’s calling
  • Building the bridges between the individual and the collective
  • The value of healing our wounds, listening deeply, and seeing the world through different perspectives
  • How to tap into the truth of who you are
  • The need for love-based liberation and empowerment

Memorable Quote

“Our systems are fragile, they are breaking down, and they need to be not rebuilt, but reimagined, we don't need to rebuild systems on faulty structures, and the only way to do that is through deeper consciousness and collective wisdom.”—Sean Harvey, Author of ‘Warrior Compassion’.
