Our guest on the podcast this week is Jessica Huie MBE, Founder of The Purpose Academy, entrepreneur, and the Author of PURPOSE, published by Hay House. Jessica has enjoyed a glittering career as a journalist working with some of the world’s best-known stars. In 2006 Jessica launched Color Blind Cards, a multi-award-winning multicultural greeting card company that drove an early conversation around the importance of ethnic representation in retail and became the first independent brand to secure a high-street presence for black cards in the UK. Labeled one of Britain’s Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs, Jessica was honored with an MBE for services to entrepreneurship and contribution to diversity and inclusion. In 2017 having recognized a lack of books written by authors of color in the personal development space, she spearheaded the Diverse Wisdom Initiative with Hay House. The program is designed to attract and elevate more writers of color in the holistic health and spirituality space.

Today Jessica shares her own unique path to purpose, from being a teenage mum in the UK, and a successful publicity career to following her calling to become more of herself, and a move to live on the island of Jamaica. Jessica speaks with passion about the ‘magical’ power of purpose, not of something new to be learned but as an inside-out process, stripping away everything that isn’t us, until we are left with only what is, and we find ourselves at our very essence. She talks about creating space for the truth.
