I too lived thru a very traumatic delivery. In labor for 15 hours and pushing for 2 1/2 hours and then an emergency c-section. This gave me anxiety attacks beyond belief within a month after my son was born. I went to therapy and did my homework so I could heal. I also took zanax for a year because I could not relax my mind. Xanax helped tremendously for time I needed it. Then I was weaned off slowly and exercised at the gym and felt amazing. The antidepressants do not work for anxiety. They numb and add to so many other issues. A great therapist will help you to feel like you can count on others to be with your child and know it's going to be ok. You are amazing!
