The following podcast is a dear media

0:02

production.

0:14

From Vanderpump Rules to motherhood

0:16

and everywhere in between, it's time to

0:19

catch up with Sheena This

0:21

is Shenanigans and now here's

0:24

your host Sheena Shay.

0:42

Hello, hello everyone.

0:44

Welcome back to Shenanigans. I hope everyone is feeling

0:46

good as gold as I am because I just

0:49

recorded a new emo

0:51

screamo version of good as gold which we will

0:53

be debuting very soon. So I am

0:55

super pumped right now. I can't get it out of my

0:57

head. I have to get stuck in your head when you're

0:59

there. That voice right there was

1:02

my girl Jamie Lynn on one co host

1:04

Mike Hello, and

1:08

my girl Janet. So for

1:11

those longtime

1:12

shenanigans listeners, you

1:14

know, this has been a very

1:16

long time coming. Both of my old

1:18

co hosts co hosting with

1:21

me all together in the same

1:23

room. I don't think we need

1:25

to get into a bunch of the past of why you

1:27

weren't you were you weren't

1:29

and all of that. Wait, I thought we were doing battle

1:32

of the co hosts today. That's why I was going to be

1:34

a hair pulling. There's going to be a

1:36

battle of the besties.

1:38

Oh, I love that. So it'll be fun.

1:40

Okay, I do have a fun game

1:43

just to kick us off

1:44

it. And then we'll get into some shenanigans.

1:48

I cannot wait to hear good as gold emo remix.

1:50

Can you give her a preview of the screamo

1:52

just scream a little bit. I heard the part

1:54

of them but I haven't heard your part. So I'm really

1:58

excited. Just rerecorded.

1:59

recorded the rap part, but

2:02

on the end it's like, Whiskey kicks off the party,

2:04

we're down in eight or nine, come close and touch my

2:06

butt, lots of us are good. And

2:09

the nice scream, but we did like the screamer

2:11

of the band, the band, shout out

2:13

to the 27s. They are

2:15

amazing, it was a

2:17

dream come true to get this song recorded

2:20

as well as they did. I

2:22

mean, it's incredible, I cannot wait

2:24

to release it. We are gonna be debuting

2:27

it live, Emo Night, next

2:29

Friday night, July

2:29

7th, I think there's still a few tickets

2:32

left, so I would get them while

2:34

they're available because Emo Night sells out

2:36

every month. I'm trying to decide

2:38

if I'm gonna come, I went to buy tickets a couple times,

2:40

I'm like, is it gonna be too crowded

2:42

and am I gonna be too sober? We'll have an

2:45

area, I mean, I'll be sober too, so we

2:47

can also, we'll get into why I'm sober after

2:51

the break and after the game because

2:55

I do wanna talk to everyone about why

2:57

I've been sober for a week and I'm gonna

2:59

keep it going, but until

3:02

then, I have a game called

3:04

Battle of the Besties. It's gonna

3:06

be a who knows Sheena Butter.

3:08

Oh God, oh my God, my pregnancy brain. Please

3:12

do not hold this against me if I do horribly. Well,

3:14

all right, I'm already at a disadvantage because I don't remember

3:17

anything. I bought ADHD.

3:19

They're right at the same handicap right now. Okay, so

3:21

we can either do it where I ask you

3:24

a question, I ask you a question, or I could just ask

3:26

the question and whoever says the answer first

3:29

gets a point.

3:30

Okay, whatever, it's your show, whatever

3:32

you wanna do. Okay, Jamie,

3:35

what was my high school boyfriend's name?

3:38

You were literally telling me the story

3:40

two days ago. I just showed you a photo, didn't I? Yes,

3:43

I saw a photo, I heard a great story.

3:46

You would play him a Hoobastank on a CD

3:48

in the car to try to get him to get back

3:51

together with you. But yet I can't remember

3:53

his name. I'm gonna take a guess.

3:56

Chris, no, it is a one syllable

3:58

name though. Do we want to pass it to Janet?

4:01

I don't know, but it's going to be... I don't know. Paul.

4:05

Okay. No points. Another basic name.

4:07

Yeah. Name. Janet,

4:10

what is my shoe size?

4:12

A seven

4:13

and... Jamie.

4:15

Six. Yes. Ding, ding, ding.

4:18

Jamie, what was my first

4:21

job?

4:22

Marie Callender's. Nope. Damn.

4:25

Is it Chili's that you yell corner at? Nope. Okay.

4:28

But that you did work there, right? You did work there.

4:30

Okay. Before Marie Callender's.

4:33

For almost three months, I worked

4:35

at Ralph's. I was a grocery

4:38

bagger girl. I don't know that you've ever

4:40

revealed that before. I feel

4:42

like... I've maybe talked about it.

4:44

I think we should each get a point for knowing one of your childhood

4:46

jobs. Seriously. Okay. Or half

4:49

away. Okay. So we'll just say we're tied right

4:51

now. Okay. Okay. We're tied at zero. We're

4:52

tied at one. We're tied at zero.

4:54

We're tied at one. Real quick, Chili's is

4:56

now offering margaritas by the gallon to go. Oh.

4:59

I don't hate that. Are their margaritas good? I've

5:02

never had one. Yeah. They do table side. They shake

5:04

them at the table side. The El Presidente margarita.

5:07

Yes. They put brandy in it. That's why it's called

5:09

that. Yeah. I've got to keep dibs on the competition.

5:12

Not that Chili's is our competition at all. I

5:15

was like, I feel like have you ever been to a Chili's,

5:17

Jamie? In New Jersey in my younger

5:20

years. Yes. I was like, do they have vegan

5:22

stuff? They have one black bean burger. Oh,

5:24

okay. Yeah. That's it. I think

5:26

it's only being an option. One thing. The next question

5:29

was, what was my first restaurant serving

5:31

job? But we've already passed that one. So,

5:34

okay, Jamie,

5:35

how old was I when I got my first

5:37

piercing?

5:39

I think it's her turn, actually,

5:41

right? Because she asked me the last one. We're going to switch it because

5:43

the Janet question was the Marie Calender's one. Oh,

5:46

gotcha. I mean, I'll answer if you want.

5:48

You're both even right now, so it doesn't really matter.

5:50

I don't want the answer to this. I'm going to say,

5:53

I'm going to say when you were one, because

5:56

didn't you get Summer's ears pierced? Okay. Oh,

5:59

I'm going to say. I mean you definitely didn't

6:01

wait till you were of legal age. I'm sure your mom

6:03

took you underage and lied for you So

6:05

I'm gonna say 16 so 16 is

6:09

when I got my belly button pierced but

6:11

a few months old is when I got my ears pierced

6:14

So I'd say you're still even okay, did your mom

6:16

take you or did you hide it from her? No, my mom took me.

6:18

Yeah, yeah And

6:21

then I got my nose pierced against both

6:24

of their wishes after school one day

6:26

at a little indoor swap meet with an

6:28

ear piercing

6:29

So illegal got so infected

6:32

Keloid it was so bad. I pierced myself

6:35

in high school with an earring. Oh, that is

6:37

badass. Ouch Mm-hmm. That

6:40

sounds painful. It was it was actually not that

6:42

bad. You know, it was fine until it got to the end Oh,

6:44

and then that hurt. Yeah, okay I

6:46

had my eyebrow pierced but it grew out and I

6:49

still have this scar. Don't you have a scar too?

6:51

I never got my eyebrow pierced someone else did

6:53

no I can't see the nose will never

6:56

like fully close up though and I have a tiny

6:58

little purple So you start where a belly button ring?

7:00

Yeah,

7:01

I could not wait Until

7:04

after when I started to lose my baby weight, but

7:06

even before I lost any of it I put it back

7:08

in actually had to reappear six it was

7:10

out for so long that it kind of closed up a little I

7:12

went back to inflections. I re-pierced

7:15

it and even though I hadn't lost all my

7:17

belly weight yet I was like, oh

7:19

I feel like me again In

7:22

my stomach oh yeah, it was fine

7:24

when the belly was popped out which we're gonna get into

7:26

that But

7:29

yeah, I needed I needed it back in I just felt

7:31

like

7:31

me again. Yeah, okay

7:34

Janet. What was my first tattoo?

7:37

Mmm, I feel like I should know this but I don't

7:40

I

7:40

know

7:44

Or where I Feel like

7:46

it's on one of your arms, but I don't know

7:48

what Jamie I Don't

7:50

think this is the answer but I just want to say it

7:53

because I know you're gonna say live

7:55

laugh love Oh, no, actually that was

7:58

like my third or fourth one it

8:00

on your back? No that was my second. My

8:02

first one was the hibiscus on my lower left

8:04

hip. Okay. That was my first one.

8:07

Okay, Jamie

8:09

what's my favorite song?

8:11

Elton John. Mm-hmm. Tiny

8:14

Dancer.

8:17

Janet what grade did I skip? Third.

8:19

Yes. Okay. I wouldn't have known

8:21

that. I'm so glad you got that one. Well then you're getting stuff that I'm

8:23

like what? We're learning

8:26

today. Alright Jamie

8:28

what is the name of the stuffed animal that travels

8:30

with me everywhere?

8:32

Frog but what's something

8:34

frog? Love frog. Yes. Janet

8:37

where did I go to college?

8:40

Azusa Pacific University.

8:42

Yes. Is that the right name? Killing

8:44

it. Yeah. But Jamie what

8:46

did I study?

8:48

Just so everyone knows Sheena has

8:50

a degree in broadcast journalism.

8:54

Janet how old was I when I had my

8:57

first kiss or when I lost my

8:59

virginity? Did they happen the same year? No so

9:02

either one like if you give like a grade

9:04

or an age for either one I'll count that. I

9:07

feel like you said you were 15 or 16 when you lost

9:09

your virginity. No.

9:11

Oh. I was 14. Okay.

9:13

Almost 15 but I was a sophomore in

9:15

high school. And I already had a boyfriend for

9:17

like a year. Yeah. Okay. Yes.

9:20

Jamie how did I meet Janet?

9:24

Oh actually this is a question I got on my things today.

9:26

Me too. So we'll answer this question

9:28

or I'll answer this question. And then yours is

9:31

Janet how did I meet Jamie? I mean you guys

9:33

can tell this story way better because you probably have

9:35

really funny details which I'm

9:37

gonna glaze over but I believe you were at

9:40

a bar at the sky bar. It

9:42

was at Mondrian. Mondrian and

9:46

did you just get broken up with the shots

9:48

happened? Janet showed up. She

9:51

made you get drunk. You were on your way to something

9:53

else that you guys ended up going together

9:55

to? I don't know. But I know it was the

9:57

Mondrian and there were shots involved.

9:59

It was right after there

10:02

was a rumor season six that Rob cheated

10:04

on me. And instead of him just brushing it off and laughing

10:06

it off and being like, of course that's not true, he

10:08

completely shut down. Our

10:10

relationship was never the same. He

10:13

stayed with me out of pity for the entire season.

10:15

But that day was the first day I saw him since

10:18

the rumor had come out. And

10:20

Janet came up to me. We had a mutual friend.

10:23

We started talking and then we just got absolutely

10:26

wasted together. I had also seen the show

10:28

and I had never met

10:29

anybody else who's in their 20s in divorce.

10:32

So I was like, oh, I was like, I know who you are. Plus

10:35

you know my soon to be roommate, which I have

10:37

another story about. Ariana staying at that house

10:40

that I used to live at by the way. Interesting.

10:43

Or she was this weekend for, she rented an Airbnb for

10:45

me. I was wondering where they ended up staying. My

10:47

old house we were talking about. But yeah, my

10:49

old roommate knew Sheena was at her first

10:52

wedding and I was like, you know this person, blah, blah,

10:54

blah. And lots, I have

10:56

like 5,000 pictures. Like literally,

10:58

I think literally. Like 1100 from that day. Cause

11:01

all of us were just wasted and did like a full photo shoot.

11:03

My best friend from home, Allie was with us. It

11:05

was like

11:06

wild. Yeah. I was like, wow, Allie's

11:08

fun. Janet,

11:11

how did I meet Jamie? I don't know this.

11:13

I know it's been like 10 years, right?

11:16

Almost. Almost, but not quite. But

11:18

I'm just trying to think, I feel

11:20

like it was through some sort of emo connection or

11:22

band, but I can't remember why. No, it was actually

11:25

through Chris shell from selling sunset. Wait,

11:27

I don't think I knew that.

11:29

Interesting what she, you were, it was

11:31

when you were friends with Chris shell. Right. And

11:33

you guys went into pump and then.

11:35

So I knew Chris shell from

11:37

all my children and we followed each other on Instagram,

11:40

but we had never met in person. And

11:42

then we made plans, but it was like a

11:44

blind date sort of thing. Where I was like, I'm going to bring my mom.

11:46

She's like, I'm going to bring my best friend. And that's

11:49

how we met. I see. Yeah. Yeah.

11:52

I would say that was pretty much a tie. That was good.

11:54

Oh, we're done. Yeah. I

11:56

love all the questions I had for that. We had some

11:58

other games that we could.

11:59

do but I feel like let's

12:02

take a quick little break and

12:05

then we're gonna get into some more shenanigans because

12:07

I have so much to catch

12:09

you guys up on. I want to get caught up with you

12:12

and yeah

12:13

we'll be right back.

12:16

Yay. All

12:22

right you've heard it here before but I'm gonna remind

you again about Visible Wireless

12:39

that's why this Pride Month

12:41

Visible is launching the hilarious

12:44

70s themed game show No Straight

12:46

12:53

that is S-A-G-E a non-profit

12:56

12:58

All right so this is a spirited game that

13:00

uplifts LGBTQ plus history,

celebrates those who paved the way for pride

13:08

13:58

14:01

It's my favorite time when

14:03

I tell you about my favorite meals

14:06

and I'm gonna keep telling you about them over

14:08

and over and over again because legitimately

14:11

this

14:12

is what I eat every

14:14

day. I drink the smoothies

14:17

every morning. I eat these

14:19

meals for

14:20

lunch,

14:21

for dinner, when I'm home and

14:23

I don't feel like cooking, cleaning,

14:26

chopping, figuring out what

14:29

to cook and then having to clean and

14:31

do all the chopping. It's just not

14:34

always practical especially

14:36

when filming

14:38

is back up and running. Mama

14:41

is busy. I gotta figure

14:43

out what summer needs to eat. That doesn't mean I also

14:45

need to be creative with what I

14:47

need to eat

14:48

or what Brock needs to eat. Factor

14:51

keeps me

14:52

energized and fueled.

14:55

I mean it is America's number one

14:57

ready to eat meal kit. Literally

15:01

two minutes in the microwave,

15:04

lunch, dinner, breakfast, midnight

15:06

snack, whatever you want is

15:09

served. If you've been following me on Instagram

15:11

you see some of the amazing

15:13

meals I've had last night for dinner. I

15:16

had a chicken piccata and I'm telling you it

15:18

was restaurant quality. The

15:21

sauce, the capers, the broccoli,

15:23

fan frickin' tastic.

15:26

And if you guys are looking to be calorie conscious

15:29

this summer you can try delicious

15:31

dietitian approved calorie smart meals with

15:34

around or less than 550 calories per serving.

15:38

There's also something different

15:40

every week. You can choose from 34 plus

15:43

chef prepared dietitian approved weekly options

15:46

featuring premium ingredients.

15:48

They have ones with broccolini, leeks,

15:52

truffle butter, they've got asparagus.

15:55

I mean there's literally something for

15:57

everyone. They've got vegan, veggie.

16:01

I've tried pretty much all of them as

16:03

has Brock my sister. We

16:05

all love them

16:07

It's just our go-to meals

16:09

because they're quick. They're easy. They are delivered

16:12

right to your door and

16:14

They keep me like I said

16:16

fueled and energized

16:18

so

16:19

Right now y'all can head to factor

16:21

16:39

All right. So like I said

16:41

this episode has been a long time

16:43

coming So let's just

16:46

have a little catch up. How are

16:48

you both Janet? You are now? Married

16:51

you're pregnant Such

16:54

a 180 from where you started on

16:56

this podcast single day podcast days

16:58

Like that was the best no now. It's very hard

17:00

to say no, I'm tomorrow be 19 weeks

17:03

pregnant. So That'll

17:06

be my fifth month five So I'm just

17:08

like honestly the first trimester for me was

17:10

so hard But recently I finally feel like

17:12

I have like my mojo back

17:13

and like energy and I I really

17:16

beat myself up the first trimester Cuz I I'm

17:18

not used to just not doing stuff

17:20

and like being like laundries

17:22

piled up My house is a wreck like

17:25

people are asking me They're like I haven't seen you in forever and I was like,

17:27

ah And I almost convinced myself

17:29

in that time that that's how it was gonna be forever And I was

17:31

like, how am I gonna take care of a child when I can't even keep

17:33

my eyes open and like and then Slowly

17:36

like once I hit week like 13 14. I was like

17:38

wait wait, I have motivation again.

17:41

I can do stuff I like cleaned out my closets

17:43

last week Like finally feel like

17:45

a normal human being again And I'm like trying to soak

17:47

that as as much as I can because I heard third

17:49

trimester I'll be huge and not want to do anything

17:51

and see I was huge but I still pretty

17:53

much did everything I think everyone's different

17:56

but I was gonna say wait until you get into the nesting

17:58

phase. I feel like I've been

17:59

So that's my main motivation

18:02

to clean out my closet was because I also have the guestroom

18:04

closet with like dresses and stuff that I'm Never

18:07

going to wear again And it's actually been really easy

18:09

to give stuff up now because there's things I look

18:11

at that I'm like one I'm not gonna fit into this for

18:13

at least a year And even if I do am

18:16

I gonna ever wear this particular thing again,

18:18

and it's gonna be out by then So I've been

18:20

like out with the old so that then I can put all the guestroom

18:22

stuff back in the main closet And

18:25

then have that for baby stuff, which is

18:27

slowly starting to trickle in so

18:29

It's exciting so we're gonna have a Thanksgiving baby

18:32

do on Thanksgiving this year. Oh my gosh

18:34

Yeah, I'm so excited for you. It's

18:37

really exciting baby boy. I

18:39

know a little baby boy, right? We thought

18:41

boy Jason thought girl yep Yep,

18:44

you were dead on and Jason I just celebrated

18:46

our one-year wedding anniversary yesterday We

18:49

obviously went to Craig's yeah ate a ton

18:51

of food I was like eat well I was like I can't

18:53

decide if I want pasta and because Jason was like

18:56

you haven't gotten the honey trouble chicken in a while So

18:58

good and it comes with a corn pancake

18:59

that's like super sweet whatever

19:02

and I was like and then once I started thinking About a corn pancake.

19:04

I was like I can't Decide

19:06

now what I want. He's like it's our anniversary you can get both

19:09

and I was like, okay So

19:11

the games with like the tray and they were like we were

19:13

at like a small two-person table And

19:15

they're like looking at like they're like did

19:17

we bring this to the table? I'm like both of those are mine

19:20

Like you could put them both right here That's

19:22

like when I order takeout and they put like four

19:25

sets of utensils and I'm like excuse

19:27

me I'm very this is a meal for one,

19:29

please Like no tricks

19:31

and then Craig sent over the a tinks hot girl Sunday

19:34

for us which comes with a sparklers Which

19:36

is

19:36

I both like what is going on

19:38

and we're like a little embarrassed everyone was like oh you

19:40

two are really parking over there But

19:42

it was it has like it's like literally eight

19:44

scoops of ice cream. It's actually vegan. Yeah, it's

19:47

a mate Yeah, I had no idea until

19:49

I'd eaten it like three times. So it's like cookies

19:51

brownies A bunch of ice cream and this huge thing.

19:54

We made a pretty big dent in it. So

19:56

nice I just stayed at resorts world

19:58

in Vegas and they have a

19:59

Craig's vegan ice cream spot

20:02

in Resorts World. Yeah, Jamie,

20:05

how's it going? How's the podcast? Oh

20:08

God, if you guys heard today's episode,

20:12

I'm sorry. What's

20:14

on today's episode? Oh my God, it's

20:16

so, I mean, I

20:19

was just going through it yesterday

20:22

and I'm like, turning on the mic and

20:24

I just let it all out on the podcast,

20:27

which I've done maybe once before in

20:30

a very cringe-worthy fashion.

20:32

And I remember the first time I did it, I called

20:35

Yushina and I was like, oh my God, I need to re-record

20:37

this episode. It was the one that's called It's Okay

20:40

to Not Be Okay. And I think it was the first time

20:42

I broke down in the podcast and I was crying. And

20:45

I was like, I'm not posting that. I can't do

20:47

whatever we're supposed to do today because I need to re-record a podcast.

20:50

Somehow I accidentally posted that

20:52

and people started DMing me about it and saying

20:55

how relatable it was. And

20:57

you were like, that was meant to be

20:59

posted. You should have posted it. And had that

21:01

not happened accidentally, I

21:03

probably wouldn't have the courage to post what

21:06

I just did today. But

21:08

I was just having a very

21:10

single mom meltdown

21:13

and I feel like it was 10 years in the making. And

21:17

I've been feeling all of this, not

21:19

to get email on this one and I don't wanna cry, so

21:21

I'm not gonna get into it too much,

21:23

and you could hear it on my podcast. But

21:26

I just kind of have been feeling the weight and

21:28

the burdens of being

21:30

the only provider for her.

21:32

And I'm

21:35

just gonna say listen to mine because if I talk about

21:37

it, I will cry because I'm still kind of in that head

21:40

space. But speaking of mental

21:42

states, I wanted to ask you because we

21:45

were discussing that you recently

21:47

made some changes last week. You went to the doctor.

21:50

What's going on? Do you wanna talk about that? Yeah,

21:52

so. Can I just say really quick, I think it is so

21:54

brave that you put stuff like that out there and I

21:56

think it's only gonna help other people. And

21:59

just being pregnant.

21:59

like thinking of like my

22:02

mom has raised me as a single mom and even

22:04

not even having a child yet has made me

22:06

have so much more respect for women and especially

22:09

single moms for to do anything

22:11

like on their own. So like in my eyes, you

22:14

know, always but especially now like you're

22:16

a superhero for doing what you're doing. And I think it's

22:18

really great to put it out there and like share

22:20

that with others too.

22:21

Yeah. And I just want to say

22:24

now as a mom as well, I

22:27

obviously, you know, I have a partner who's very supportive.

22:30

So I can't imagine what it was like as

22:33

a single mom. You know, my OCD was, it

22:35

still is which

22:38

we'll get into as you just asked but when

22:40

she was a baby and if I

22:42

was alone with her for a certain amount of time

22:45

I would always think like, how the fuck

22:47

did Jamie do this? You had no family, you

22:49

had no help and you did

22:51

it.

22:51

And you have an incredible 10 year

22:54

old now and you should be very

22:56

proud of that. And it's okay to not

22:58

be okay. It's

23:00

okay to have meltdowns to feel frustrated

23:03

because you are the sole

23:05

provider but you are providing her with

23:08

a great life. And she's a very lucky little

23:10

girl to have such a strong mama. So I

23:12

just want to say that. Being a single mom

23:14

I think is a job that doesn't often get recognized

23:17

or recognized nearly as often as it should.

23:19

But I promise you as a daughter

23:21

of a single mom that your daughter's going

23:23

to look at you one day and realize like,

23:26

you know, is at an older age like everything

23:28

you're doing and

23:29

there's never going to be a love or appreciation like

23:31

she has for you. I hope so. I

23:34

hope you're okay. Yeah, mom, daughters,

23:36

best friends. I mean, your son is going to be probably

23:38

a mama's boy but you

23:40

know, just having that little girl

23:43

is the best. You have a built in best

23:45

friend for life. And that's the

23:47

reason why I did finally

23:49

make an appointment with my doctor

23:52

last week to get on some

23:54

sort of medication because my anxiety

23:56

OCD. everything.

24:00

I mean, it's been bad since I

24:03

had her. I obviously had a very traumatic

24:06

labor. I think I do still have PTSD

24:08

from not only the miscarriage, but the traumatic

24:11

birth. And everything

24:13

since then, the anxiety

24:17

and OCD has just

24:20

gone in waves where some days I'm

24:22

totally fine. Like when scandival

24:24

broke, I was so consumed

24:27

in all of that bullshit with the lawyers

24:29

and the restraining order and all of that that I

24:31

didn't have time for my OCD. That

24:34

was the only blessing in my brain

24:36

was my OCD took a backseat. I

24:38

forgot I had OCD. I forgot what anxiety

24:41

about being a mom was, but I was also

24:43

having breakdowns at home

24:46

every day when I would get a call from my lawyer.

24:48

When I found out I was getting

24:50

knocked with the restraining order, when it was maybe

24:52

you can't go to the reunion and all of these things,

24:55

it just brought on a different level

24:58

of anxiety while putting the OCD in the

25:00

backseat. But now that that has all

25:03

thankfully calmed down for me

25:05

personally, my OCD is like,

25:07

hello, I'm still

25:09

here. And it's

25:11

to the point where up

25:13

until this past week, I've been on

25:16

Zoloft now for a week. And

25:18

I know that it's just a placebo.

25:21

It can't really be working for at least two to

25:23

four weeks. But just knowing that

25:25

I'm on something to help my

25:27

mental health has made me feel good.

25:29

But then the anxiety kicks in where

25:31

I'm like, did I make the right decision getting on a prescription

25:33

medication? Should I have tried ketamine therapy?

25:36

Should I have tried microdosing mushrooms? Should I? And

25:38

so now I'm questioning did I do the right thing?

25:40

But I know that placebo

25:43

already, I feel better.

25:45

I feel more present. I don't

25:48

feel as emotional

25:50

in a way where every

25:52

day when I put her down for a nap or

25:54

bedtime, it's like,

25:57

I start to cry because then I think about like, what

25:59

if not just something happens to her, but

26:01

what if something happens to me and then my baby

26:03

girl grows up without a mom and it's like every

26:06

day I was feeling this

26:08

scared feeling of- It's so debilitating.

26:11

You know, and I'm like holding her and

26:13

reading her a book and I'm like tears just running

26:15

down my face and I'm like, I don't want her seeing

26:17

me cry every day. I don't

26:19

wanna feel this pain every

26:21

day. I don't wanna think about death

26:24

every fucking day. And

26:26

other than right now as I'm talking about it, I

26:29

haven't been as emotional in that sense.

26:32

I feel stronger. I feel

26:34

like

26:35

I made the right decision by taking a step

26:37

and getting on something. My doctor said,

26:40

give it a month, see how I feel. And

26:42

then if I'm like, you know what, maybe I wanna try

26:44

and micro dose mushrooms and

26:46

go a more natural route,

26:49

then maybe I do that. But

26:51

that also just kind of freaks me out. I'm like, it's not a

26:53

festival, but it's different, you know? And

26:55

they do use micro dosing for

26:58

OCD, and

27:00

it also is National PTSD

27:02

Awareness Day. So yeah, my friend Kale, who

27:07

is very big on micro dosing

27:09

shrooms, we were talking earlier and he's like, you know what today is,

27:11

right? And I just like joked

27:13

and said the date and he's like, no, it's actually

27:16

National PTSD Awareness Day. And

27:18

then he was sending me different articles and things and how

27:21

micro dosing

27:21

could help. So then I get in my head and I'm like, did I make

27:23

the wrong decision like being on so often?

27:26

I don't know. So I'm giving it a month.

27:29

I wanna be very open talking about this when

27:32

we start filming as La La Let the Cat

27:34

Out of the Bag this week. And

27:36

hopefully that's a journey that

27:38

will be covered, but regardless, whether

27:40

it's on my vlog or this podcast, it's something

27:43

I wanna open up about because I think it is so

27:45

relatable, especially just as a mom. I'm

27:47

like, I need to do whatever

27:49

I need to do to be present and to be

27:51

the best version of myself

27:53

for my kid. And crying every

27:55

day and thinking about death and what's gonna happen,

27:57

what if it just was not working for me?

27:59

me anymore. I'm really proud of you.

28:02

Thank you. I wish you much

28:04

luck with that. I hope it's the right medication

28:07

for you. I know how frustrating firsthand

28:09

it can be by getting on something and having

28:11

it be the wrong thing. And for me

28:13

to update you guys, last

28:15

time I think I was on here was with Tori. Oh

28:18

no, we did a balanced launch episode too.

28:20

But when we were talking with Tori with the OCD

28:22

and at that point I'm like, I think I have ADHD.

28:25

I'm in the process of getting diagnosed

28:27

and I was since then diagnosed

28:29

with it and really weighed

28:31

my options. Like do I even want to

28:33

get on any sort of meds? And it just,

28:36

it's with women, it just gets worse with

28:39

age and with men it gets better. I didn't

28:41

know that. Yeah.

28:42

And so I just, it's just, it

28:44

got to a point where I'm like, I need

28:47

help. Like you were mentioning earlier, Janet, like,

28:49

you know, your home being like disorganized

28:52

and you thinking you weren't going to have the energy

28:54

to do it. Like imagine living like that your whole,

28:56

like that's my mind. I have ADD,

28:58

ADHD. I've been diagnosed since I was a kid

29:01

and I have to like stay on top of it and being

29:03

pregnant, I can't take Adderall, which I've been prescribed

29:06

my entire adult life. So, and

29:08

to be honest, I haven't even enjoyed taking Adderall.

29:10

I feel like a lot of people are like, Oh, you, I'm like, I hate

29:13

having to take it because it's what I need

29:15

to be able to get through some things

29:17

and actually be on top of my job, my life

29:19

and my schedule. So I understand that feeling.

29:21

And it really, ADD, ADHD and depression

29:24

kind of all can go hand in hand

29:26

because when you get behind with ADD,

29:29

you beat yourself up over it. And then it comes

29:31

on anxiety and the depression. So

29:33

many women have been misdiagnosed with

29:36

anxiety and depression when it truly was undiagnosed

29:40

ADHD. This is news to me though. I didn't know

29:42

that you had

29:42

it or that you were on Adderall. I would have gone to you for

29:44

a resource as well because I

29:46

just, you know, I tried Adderall and it wasn't, it

29:49

didn't work for me. There's totally different stuff.

29:51

I feel like for different people, for me, like

29:53

personally, when I, before I was pregnant, I haven't taken

29:55

it and

29:56

however long it's been now, but for me, like the lower

29:58

dosage, I was on Adderall and I hate it.

29:59

I hated it when it was a time release and

30:02

I was not sleeping, not eating. And

30:04

it was, I was taking like, I think 20 milligrams of a time

30:06

release. And that was like 12 hours

30:09

of me feeling like I was on crack basically, or

30:11

like, and just not feeling well. For me, like

30:13

a really low dose is all I really need.

30:15

So when I, before I was pregnant, I would take like five

30:18

milligrams of not time release a

30:20

day. And that would at least give me like

30:22

a morning motivation. So if I took that at eight in

30:24

the morning, would wear off by like one,

30:26

but I'm like, I got through most of the day with like

30:28

checking off all the boxes.

30:29

And then if I have an easier afternoon, I'm okay

30:32

with that. Yeah, I mean, the first time I took

30:34

it, I texted Sheena and I was

30:36

like, wait a minute. So this is what it's like to have

30:38

a normal functioning brain. Like

30:40

I remembered that I needed to stop at Walgreens.

30:43

I'm not thinking of a million things. I'm not

30:45

singing as good as gold in my head over and

30:47

over. Except for today. Except for

30:49

today. But it made me gain

30:51

weight. I gained 10 pounds in a month. And

30:54

that's adding to depression because then I can't

30:56

get it off. And I'm trying so hard. And

30:58

I'm like, did I fuck up my thyroid? Did I fuck up my, I

31:01

don't even know if Adderall can do that, but did I fuck up my

31:03

metabolism? And it's just like, and summer's

31:05

here. And I'm just like, ugh, like the one thing that

31:07

I thought Adderall would have a great side effect for.

31:10

It didn't be opposite. That's actually like, for

31:12

me, that was a negative because up until

31:14

like the last couple of years, I was at like the

31:16

lowest weight I really could have been without being

31:19

really unhealthy. And that was always something I had

31:21

to monitor with doctors who were prescribing me Adderall

31:23

of like, because it definitely killed my appetite.

31:25

I was then like running around and getting like 10,000, 10,000 steps

31:29

a day, like easy after five milligrams

31:31

of Adderall. But like, that was

31:33

a negative side effect for me was losing the weight. So

31:36

I'm like, I wish I could have gained 10 pounds a month

31:38

on Adderall. I'll trade with you because

31:40

I'm like, why am I the rare case

31:42

that actually gains weight from Adderall?

31:45

And honestly, like if it was working well, I would be like, fuck

31:47

it, like whatever. So what? Like I'd rather be mentally

31:50

strong than, okay, I'm a couple of pounds

31:52

heavier. So what? Like I think the mental is so much more

31:54

important,

31:54

but after that first day and

31:56

they say like, you'll never feel like you do after

31:59

the first time. It just,

32:02

it wasn't the,

32:03

and maybe this is important to talk about, but it wasn't the miracle

32:06

I was hoping for.

32:07

And it didn't make me do all the things

32:10

that I wanted to get done. But

32:12

what, I mean, it did benefit a little bit,

32:14

but it just wasn't it. It wasn't worth it. So

32:17

I have actually an appointment tomorrow

32:20

with my doctor to

32:22

discuss other alternatives. And

32:24

I added yours to the list because. Zoloft

32:26

is like a jack of all trades. They're like, it can

32:28

treat ADHD, OCD, anxiety,

32:31

depression, PTSD, I was like, wow,

32:33

this just works for everything. So I was like, okay. That's

32:35

my cocktail. Yeah, and I know several people

32:38

on it who love it. I haven't

32:40

heard one negative thing about it yet. So

32:42

I'm like, I don't wanna feel like

32:44

I made the wrong decision by what

32:46

I'm on because I know it's the right decision by

32:49

putting my mental health first.

32:50

Totally. And going into season

32:53

frickin' 11, clear-headed, not

32:56

crying about someone dying potentially

32:58

one day. Obviously, death is inevitable. We know

33:01

that it's a part of life, but the

33:03

thoughts of it every day, every time Brock

33:05

leaves the house on his motorcycle, I'm like, he's

33:07

not coming home. Every time I put Summer

33:10

down, what if, you know, it's like, I don't

33:12

even like giving my kid a blanket still. She's over

33:14

two years old. She is okay to have

33:16

a blanket, but I'm like, I gotta tuck it

33:19

under her sleep sack and just because

33:21

I'm so paranoid about anything, and I

33:23

still sleep with the monitor on

33:25

my phone right next to my ear, just,

33:28

and I can't do that for the rest of my life, but

33:31

while she's still in a crib, I will keep

33:33

the

33:33

monitor. Once she transfers into the toddler

33:35

bed, I can't keep the breathing wear

33:38

strap and the camera on her,

33:40

I think there'll be a time to. Now

33:42

that I'm becoming a mom, I'm like, I'm gonna have cameras

33:44

on my kid everywhere that my kids can be wearing

33:46

an air tag when they go

33:48

anywhere that's outside of my, like, I'm

33:50

like, I can't. It's terrifying. It

33:53

is the best thing in the world, and it's also the

33:55

absolute scariest, especially

33:57

for those who are anxious people.

33:59

to now have a child, which is

34:02

the most important part of your entire

34:04

world that you have to keep alive. Every

34:06

second of the day, it's terrifying. Yeah,

34:09

like if your emotions, it's worth it. If

34:11

your emotions, if you think of it as like a spectrum

34:14

right now,

34:15

once you become a parent, it

34:17

expands, but in both directions, because

34:19

it's your biggest fears, but also your greatest

34:21

joys. Right, right.

34:23

And that's the worst thing about OCD is

34:25

it attaches to your biggest

34:28

fears. So I think

34:30

through therapy, through

34:32

exposure therapy, through my medication

34:35

and just

34:36

trying to be the best version

34:38

of myself, I started working out again with my

34:41

trainer, Seth, who shout out has a

34:43

new app, Body 911. Check

34:45

it out. Love Seth. We just did

34:47

the launch party. Sugar Taco catered it. Wait,

34:49

can we talk about what's next

34:52

with Sugar Taco, or is that still a secret?

34:54

We have a couple of secrets, but I can probably talk about

34:57

them. I'm not sure which one you are referring to. One

34:59

that I might be a part of for that event.

35:02

Yes. Yeah, okay. Yeah, no,

35:04

the grand opening party. Okay, so we already- I've

35:06

been hearing about this for a while. I'm excited.

35:09

Yeah, we keep postponing it. So

35:12

it's now set for early August.

35:14

We're doing like a whole red carpet grand opening

35:16

party for the Long Beach location, which is

35:18

on Broadway in Magnolia. Nice

35:20

little downtown area of Long Beach. I know

35:22

certain areas of Long Beach can be a little

35:24

sketchy. Yeah, it's one of the other. It's

35:26

like nice or scary. We're

35:29

right next to the police station and the fire station.

35:32

Perfect. Yeah, it's a great lunch spot. Lots

35:34

of new residential buildings there as well.

35:37

So yeah, we're doing a grand opening party and

35:40

maybe you can do the screamo version. I was

35:42

just thinking like maybe we do the new version

35:44

of Good as Gold. Oh fun. But you're

35:46

changing the lyrics.

35:48

Okay. Right? Oh yeah, Sugar Taco's

35:50

good. I mean, the Uber One

35:52

version. Maybe. There's so many versions of this song

35:54

now, you guys. I love it. But if we did the

35:57

Uber One version and we kind of changed

35:59

it a little.

35:59

instead of goat cheese ballin, you know,

36:02

we could be like... Vegan taco ballin. Yeah.

36:05

But... Churro donut ball. Yeah,

36:07

I was thinking something with churros, but I

36:09

think that could be fun. And instead of Uber One,

36:11

we say, sugar tacos, good as gold.

36:14

Yes. I love it. I love

36:16

it. By the way, I'm sending you my therapy

36:18

bill for the Uber One, good as gold commercial,

36:21

because that has been running in my head

36:23

rent free for months now. And I'm like, every

36:25

time I, like, I had just really gotten

36:27

it over it this week and now it's gonna be back.

36:29

Wait until you hear the new version. It's

36:32

so dope. I cannot wait

36:34

to debut this. Yes, can't wait to hear it. And

36:37

she's... What's it called? Gang? What

36:40

was it? A gang? It was not a gang

36:42

bang, but it was a gang... What? Gang recording.

36:44

Why can't I think of the term? I don't know. But

36:47

they were like, oh, do you want a gang band?

36:50

Whatever it was, it was where all of us... It was kind of like a chorus. Yeah.

36:53

Oh, I see. All of us at one point. Everyone

36:55

in the room just all screamed

36:58

the, let's have us a good time. Oh

36:59

my gosh. It's so dope. It's

37:02

quite animalistic. A gang bang. I haven't

37:04

screamed that loud. And honestly,

37:07

I can't

37:08

remember. I don't know if I've ever screamed

37:11

that loud on

37:12

Vanderpump Rules. Maybe? But

37:14

I can't think.

37:15

If you guys can think of a term and I've screamed on Vanderpump

37:17

Rules, all of you who have been rewatching

37:19

it from the beginning, let me know. Because

37:22

I was like, wow, that felt really good. And

37:25

I was like, any of the neighbors will be like, wow, this girl

37:27

really wants us to have a good time right now. She's

37:30

screaming. Wow. Everybody fucking

37:32

have a good time. The

37:35

screamer in the band. So

37:37

good. They're like, can you do a high scream? Can you do a low

37:39

scream? Now can you just scream? I'm like, there's

37:41

different screens? Of course there is. So

37:43

good. Did they send you

37:45

just their rendition of Good as Gold?

37:47

And then they were like, you should do this. Did they just do

37:50

it? No, it was my idea. I was like,

37:52

did you know them? I didn't know how it came about.

37:56

So TJ, who puts on emo night,

37:58

I was talking to him at the emo night.

37:59

night that we did in Joshua Tree at Pappy

38:02

and Harriet. And I was saying I have

38:04

this idea when we play the next

38:06

emo night me Katie and Ariana is DJs

38:09

you know hopefully we'll be filming obviously

38:11

we need to have cleared music I said what if

38:13

we got a band to do an

38:15

emo pop punk but screamo

38:18

version of Good as Gold and there's

38:20

this version is it a day to remember? Yes.

38:23

There's a since you've been gone version.

38:25

Oh I think I've heard that. Yeah we played it as

38:28

our opening at our last emo night with

38:30

DJ'd and that just gave me the motivation

38:32

to turn my pop song into

38:35

an emo screamo version. I love it. And TJ

38:37

was like I think I know the perfect

38:40

band and when he sent me their Instagram

38:42

I listened to some of their stuff I was like I'm down and

38:45

then they recorded it before I even knew they were actually

38:47

recording it he sent it to me he's like are you ready to die

38:49

and I was like oh

38:51

my god. I still want to be on a part

38:53

of it so we kept the rap part

38:55

in. And they were like do you want to sing

38:58

like any of the Good as I was like no no no the song is

39:00

perfect as it is I just want

39:02

to do the rap part but I want the screamer guy

39:04

to scream with me but then we did the gang

39:07

whatever it's called screaming. And

39:10

yeah it's incredible. I'm so excited

39:12

I've heard part of it I can't wait to hear you scream. Yeah

39:15

so fun speaking of

39:17

fun this weekend was fun we

39:19

were all with Ariana and her boo

39:21

Dan for her birthday. I love

39:24

him. I'm obsessed with him.

39:26

He's so sweet. Okay let's let's give Dan

39:28

a little moment on shenanigans brag about

39:29

him what's your favorite things. Okay so he they

39:32

came over to my house Sunday and

39:34

he made like the most

39:36

delicious meal that's ever been cooked in my kitchen

39:38

by far but like the food was so good that

39:40

if it was at a restaurant in like a foreign city

39:43

I would go back to I would like make a point to

39:45

go back to that city to eat there. Like he

39:47

made paella from scratch like all this

39:49

stuff like he went into like multiple grocery

39:51

stores he was texting Jason I like

39:53

leading up to like the week leading up to it and

39:55

he was like hey do you know like an Asian

39:57

market that would have this specific like rice

39:59

wine.

39:59

I'm vinegar and I'm like,

40:01

no, but let me try. I'll

40:03

call around some places. So we like really

40:05

like went all out and

40:08

he made like, he made paella, crab

40:10

and ribs where he made like homemade barbecue

40:13

sauce for it that was like amazing. So

40:15

we had just like few people over. I offered

40:17

up my house when I knew he was coming here cause I was like, I

40:20

know that Ariana's used to being able to host

40:22

and she can't now. So I was like, if you need you

40:25

in a house nearby, you know, her house

40:27

now is very close to mine. I was like, oh, feel

40:29

free. And she texted me then later and was like, are you

40:31

sure? And I was like, yeah, invite whoever you want over.

40:34

We'll do it. So Dan made this incredible

40:36

meal. He hours in the kitchen just like,

40:39

and there was something about him that

40:42

was very modest about it. Like everyone was like, this

40:44

is the best food I've ever had. And he was like, oh, thanks like

40:46

so much. And like, I made like a salad

40:49

and vegetable, like I made like corn and potatoes

40:51

and like a salad. He's like, wow, this looks really

40:53

great. And I was like, thanks. I

40:55

was like, I roasted vegetables like, and

40:57

put like a bag of salad into a bowl.

41:00

But he was like, was really nice about it. And then

41:02

he just seeing basically

41:04

from Ariana,

41:05

when everything first happened, I

41:08

went over there and like, my biggest thing was like, has she

41:10

eaten? Like we need to make sure. And I made like a whole

41:12

thing of soup. And I was just like really

41:14

worried because she just seemed, she was so down and

41:17

just seemed like weak in

41:19

a way, which like she's never like that.

41:22

So I was really worried. And then to now see like

41:24

a couple months later, this like fantastic

41:27

guy, literally feeding her the best

41:29

food ever. And to see her actually happy,

41:32

like they just would like, they

41:34

both like, he was cooking. So she was like talking to her

41:36

friends and doing her own thing. And then they would kind

41:38

of just come back together and have these like cute moments

41:40

where they would be like kissing in my kitchen. And I'm like, oh

41:43

my God, like this is so cute. And I've never

41:45

known Ariana as anyone, but in

41:47

a relationship with her ex. So seeing this

41:50

new side of her and everything, I was like, oh my gosh.

41:52

And she just seemed so genuinely happy. He

41:55

was just really kind, got along with

41:57

everybody. And it just, it, it, it,

42:00

At one point I had to leave and cry for a second

42:02

because I'm so emotional right now. And then Ariana

42:05

saw something, she was crying about something with

42:07

Jason and I having a cute moment and I was just like, this

42:09

is great that everything feels really

42:12

good, but he just seems like such a sweet guy.

42:14

He was like, hey, if I sent you all

42:16

of the ingredients and everything I'm making or

42:18

wrote it out really nice, do you think you could print it

42:20

off at your house and we could make a menu? And I was like,

42:22

oh, do you want better than that? I'll get on Canva and

42:24

make it look like a real menu. And

42:27

then I printed it off and I gave it to Dan and I was

42:29

like, here, you can give this. And he's like, oh

42:31

no, you like made it, you give it to her. And I was like, I would have never thought

42:33

to like print a menu of everything. I

42:35

was like, you need to get the credit for this, like this is a really

42:37

sweet thing you're doing. And so he was like, here's

42:39

what we're about to eat and like gave it to her and she

42:42

like melted. She was like, that is so

42:44

sweet, gave him the biggest hug. It just

42:46

was like so relieving to see her

42:48

so happy and it was just an easy, good

42:51

day. It just like felt really good. Everyone

42:53

ended up like playing Jackbox games like around

42:55

the TV till late and like, it just

42:57

was really, really sweet. And he texted us the next day and was

42:59

like, thanks for letting us, you know, he

43:02

was like so grateful that we just gave him our kitchen. And

43:04

I'm like, you can come over and cook like that whatever

43:06

you want. Right, I told Brock, I said, just

43:08

so you know, you have some competition in the kitchen.

43:10

Brock's a great cook too. He is, he's great.

43:12

And he was like, I could make paella, you know. I

43:15

was like, I'm sure you can. He wasn't following

43:17

recipes. He was just through his family.

43:19

I can't do that. How did he learn just through his

43:22

family? He's like, these are family recipes. He

43:24

had to find specific stuff because he knew exactly

43:26

like the ingredients. But like when he was doing the barbecue

43:28

sauce, I was like,

43:29

do you need measuring cups or a spoon?

43:32

Like, do you need anything? He's like, no, I kind of like eyeball

43:34

it and I'll just taste it throughout. And then I was passing

43:36

the kitchen. He's like here. And he like had a spoon. He's

43:38

like, try this. And I was like, ooh, that's really good. It's like sweet.

43:41

And he goes, yeah, I put too much sweet stuff. So now I'm just gonna even it out with

43:43

some of the non-sweet stuff. He's like, I'm gonna try to spice

43:45

it out. And he was like, eventually we'll get there. And I'm like, oh,

43:48

like I can't do, I cook a lot, I can't do that. But

43:50

it was just really, really sweet. I'm like so happy

43:53

for that. You use the word easy. And I think

43:55

that's perfect because when I first

43:57

met him when we were in New York,

43:59

I noticed that. Ariana was just at

44:01

ease. Yes. In a different way than I've

44:03

ever seen her. Just like she can breathe,

44:06

you know?

44:07

She just was kind of doing her own thing, but

44:09

they always came back together and they

44:11

just, yeah, they just are really clicking and

44:13

it's like, I was really, really

44:15

happy to see it. I was so bummed that

44:18

we couldn't be there on Sunday because we had

44:20

Reigns birthday parties. So Jamie and I were-

44:22

Oh my God. The

44:24

biggest two year old birthday party you've ever

44:27

seen. It was crazy. I

44:29

almost like dived over that. I'm like, should

44:31

I even take Ivy because she's going

44:34

to expect this shit from me now? You're

44:37

like, they won the lottery, okay? That's why they're doing

44:39

this. Don't get any ideas.

44:41

But yeah, when we were in New York, so

44:44

Jamie, Ariana and I all end up in New York the

44:46

same day for three different things. Ariana's doing Watch

44:48

What Happens Live. I'm hosting an event for

44:50

Smirnoff. Jamie was hosting a podcast

44:53

event, had this dinner with the mayor and

44:55

all these cool things. But then we were

44:57

all coming together to meet up with Dan.

45:00

Every time I go to New York, I've hung out with Dan so many

45:02

times now. I've been in New York so much this year

45:04

that every time I'm there, I meet up with him. I mean, you hung out with

45:06

him without her, right? Did you guys meet up? Yeah,

45:08

couple time. Just meet him and Nima, went to dinner and then- I

45:10

love that.

45:11

Yeah, so- Yeah, because she been in New York

45:13

a lot lately. So much, yeah. But that one time

45:15

was so cool that it all aligned, that we were

45:17

all there at the same time. And they didn't

45:19

make it to the Smirnoff event because he

45:22

made her sushi at home. He

45:24

literally rolled her sushi. They

45:26

sent me a photo, I was like, don't come to Smirnoff, it's fine.

45:29

I guarantee you that was some of the best sushi ever.

45:31

Yeah, no,

45:32

he is incredible. And

45:34

it's just so nice to see her,

45:37

just like you said, at ease. It

45:39

just,

45:40

happy and light. And

45:42

it's what she deserves. Oh, I do have to say, I saw

45:44

a rumor on Reddit that I want to squash. We

45:47

were at my house in my kitchen and there's people

45:49

were taking videos of Dan cooking

45:52

and Ariana and Dan kind of together. There was specifically

45:54

one that Dana posted of them like

45:56

hugging in the kitchen. I think it was after she saw the menu

45:59

and Reddit.

46:00

zoomed in on my fridge where

46:02

I have all my ultrasound photos. Oh

46:05

my gosh. And they were like, are they trying

46:07

to leave an Easter egg that Ariana,

46:09

da da da. And so Jason found

46:11

it and was like, send it to me and he's like, oh my God, read these comments.

46:14

Everyone is looking at our ultrasound photos and thinking

46:16

it's at Ariana's house or something. That's funny.

46:19

I was like, people know what her kitchen looks like. But they

46:21

could think maybe she's moved out now. Right. This

46:24

is an apartment or a new house or something. Something.

46:26

So I hate to break into all of my fellow Redditors. But

46:28

those are my ultrasound photos, not

46:30

Ariana's. They were just happened to be cooking and

46:32

kissing in front of them. My God. So

46:34

funny. I was glad though that Jamie and I were able

46:37

to go the night before on her birthday

46:39

to I skipped the club. I couldn't

46:41

do it. 10 p.m. Start time.

46:44

I know. And also I was like, I get it because now

46:46

I've been sober and to two massive

46:49

drinking events completely sober.

46:51

The first one was Rose Day, but I was there

46:53

with Jenny Ting. So I was like, I got my pregnant

46:56

sober girl with me and it was still so much

46:58

fun. And then the club, Dan kept being like,

47:00

Champagne. I was like, no, I'm not. He's like, oh, yeah, I forgot.

47:03

I forgot. But he's so sweet. He's always making

47:05

sure everyone's OK. Everyone's taking

47:07

care of. So, yeah, it's been

47:09

an interesting week for me just getting back

47:11

into going to things sober. But

47:13

I just really want to see how I feel

47:15

on this medication. No alcohol,

47:18

no weed, no anything. Just

47:21

be clear headed going into this season

47:24

and see what the fuck it brings. Because

47:26

I. What do you hope it will bring? Do

47:28

you have any ideas? Yeah,

47:30

I don't. I hope, honestly, that

47:33

it brings just us women even closer together

47:35

and really highlights the businesses and the things

47:38

that we are working on because all

47:40

of us as entrepreneurs are doing so much

47:42

in our individual lives and together, which

47:44

is one of the things I actually wanted to ask you about because

47:46

you're helping a lot with something about her.

47:49

So what can you tell us about that? How's it going? When

47:51

does it look like it's

47:52

opening? One, I'm so I'm

47:54

so excited for this season because I really feel like it truly

47:56

is going to be the women kind of like rising above

47:59

and it's really going to be like powerful moment that I'm

48:01

super excited to see, including Katie

48:03

and Ariana was something about her. So when

48:05

everything went down, they basically had their

48:07

logos and some artwork and a lot

48:09

of stuff ready to go, but

48:12

they needed some funds and some things. And

48:14

I was like, why don't you guys? I was like, fans are literally

48:16

DMing me. And if you find me, it's

48:18

like you've dug deep, I always say. So I'm

48:20

like, fans have found me, they're messaging like,

48:23

Jared, everybody that was kind of around Ariana's

48:25

house was first couple days. A couple of days

48:27

went by and then I was like, OK, maybe you guys

48:29

should just take some

48:29

of the logos that you already have, put them

48:32

on merch. And it was kind of like, I have the time, I just

48:34

quit my job. So I was like all the time to actually

48:36

get some mock ups made and send them over to you guys

48:38

to see what this would look like and like, you know, some

48:41

of the logistics of it. And they were like, this

48:43

sounds good if you think we can do it. And I was like, let's

48:45

do it. And it's been a huge success, which is

48:47

then they've just funneled

48:49

in the most genius way possible directly

48:52

into the restaurant. So to get their

48:54

designers moving now that inside

48:56

the shop is gorgeous and ready to go, permits

48:58

and stuff are coming along. So I feel like

49:01

I don't know if I can say this like with the authority,

49:03

but like I feel like you're going to see it open for sure

49:05

on this season. Yeah. You know, permit

49:07

pending and some of that stuff. But they've really done

49:10

a good job like moving along with it. I

49:12

will say with the latest, so the fuck

49:14

me in this t-shirt design. Oh my God,

49:16

that Carla did. Shout out to her. She's

49:19

amazing. She's incredible. White shadow

49:21

art on Instagram. She's amazing. So she's been friends

49:23

with Ariana for a while and Katie

49:25

and Ariana kind of started with they were like, we should, after

49:28

the reunion film, they were like, he said this comment.

49:31

And I think it was Dana actually. It was like, you got to put that

49:33

on a t-shirt. And I was like, we should

49:35

put that on a t-shirt. And

49:38

so it kind of the idea kind of like started as like, ha ha,

49:40

we should put that on a t-shirt to like,

49:42

this is what that t-shirt might look like. And

49:44

then it kind of looped in Carla to like,

49:46

what do you think? And then she drew the design

49:48

that would end up being used. And it was so perfect.

49:52

I saw it and I was like, I was like,

49:54

I was like, I immediately I was like, I hope they want

49:56

to use this. And I sent it to them and they were like,

49:58

oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.

49:59

And I was like I love it the handcuffs

50:02

that are broken on it. Yeah, she's tearing open a grilled

50:04

cheese like eyes rolled back It's a detail

50:06

of it like they really wanted like rocker tea

50:09

And I was like yes, so they also wanted super

50:11

soft rocker tea Which ended

50:13

up be causing a little delay that's happening

50:15

right now, so we had that

50:18

Blew our orders out of the water

50:20

everybody wanted that shirt so after we got a couple

50:22

hundred printed Then it was like oh,

50:25

we're out of the soft tea. Okay. We'll find someone else

50:27

to do it Oh, they only have a couple hundred so it

50:29

now we have an actual like high-end Like

50:33

large-scale merch company that

50:35

we're working with that can get all of the orders

50:37

out And they're actually getting shipped this week, so I'm even

50:39

getting DMS like I ordered this week

50:42

and a half ago Where is it? Yeah, it's coming so

50:44

it was literally just the demand our current

50:46

people like couldn't our old people could not keep

50:49

up with Now we have new people they're awesome.

50:51

They're used to big orders and stuff like that

50:53

So they're managing this drop and

50:55

there's gonna be more stuff soon the ideas

50:58

kind of keep rolling like that where it'll

51:00

be like Oh, would it be funny if

51:02

this happened or wouldn't this be cute?

51:04

And then kind of it evolves and

51:06

then it's gotten done So I think we'll definitely

51:08

be working with Carla for some more stuff like keep

51:11

an eye out on her page For some like

51:13

maybe sneak previews and stuff, but she's

51:15

working on some things and it's just

51:17

gonna keep it Rolling which then

51:19

will help you know viewers be able to see

51:21

something about her open and know that like they helped

51:24

support that and Like every little order

51:26

definitely helped like get things moving a lot

51:28

faster. Yeah, so it's been so awesome

51:31

I'm so glad that

51:32

you were able to help with that. It

51:34

was crazy I remember I asked you to come

51:37

co-host on my podcast with me And you're like I literally

51:39

I would but I have thousands of orders

51:41

to process finally like that because

51:43

in the beginning I was like I can do this I can just you

51:46

know run the Shopify and Printify Process

51:49

it was like couple customer emails of like oh

51:51

I put the wrong shipping address or you know little things

51:53

were coming in I was like I can handle this until

51:55

that to fuck me. I keep calling it the

51:57

fuck me drop

51:59

Until the fuck me dropped that honestly really

52:02

fucked me. I was getting

52:04

that, I got 800 emails the first night

52:07

that that dropped of just half of them,

52:09

the problem is half of them are like, oh my God, I love

52:11

this, Team Ariana, and all that,

52:13

which is great, but you still have to open them. And

52:15

I always twist, you know, and I was like, oh my

52:18

gosh, so when that happened is when I reached

52:20

out to the bigger merch people and I'm like, we

52:22

need you guys to help us with

52:24

this. It's not just like a little mom and pops

52:26

project anymore that I can just like help

52:28

them with. I'm like, we need to bring

52:29

on some real people that actually can,

52:32

I was like, I can't respond to 800 emails in one

52:34

day. I'm like, and you know, I was trying to get

52:37

through. So now we have kind

52:39

of bigger people that are helping us with all of that. And once

52:42

we get, now these orders are going out and then everything will

52:44

be smooth sailing from now on. So this

52:46

is the only order that if people ordered, they

52:48

can expect it'll be like actually two or three weeks before

52:50

they get stuff, but

52:51

everything else moving forward will be smooth sailing

52:53

and it won't be me responding to the emails anymore,

52:56

which is, was kind of a secret to

52:58

right now. So if you emailed about something,

53:00

it was probably me on the other end. That's funny.

53:03

I did get a question for you and it said, what does Janet

53:05

do for work? So are you doing this primarily

53:07

full-time? I, so I was planning

53:09

on not working through my pregnancy. So

53:12

I've been a personal executive assistant for the

53:14

last five years in LA. The

53:16

job that I've been able to talk about or have

53:19

talked about on this podcast where I worked for Aveline

53:21

and assisted on their team,

53:24

which is Cameron Diaz and Catherine Powers Wine Brand,

53:27

which is amazing and I wish I could drink it right now, but I can't,

53:30

but I was with them for the longest

53:32

time out of like my career. I was

53:34

with some other people afterwards. And

53:36

basically when I, personal assisting is super

53:39

fun, but it's a lot of work and you're

53:41

working a lot of hours on your feet. And

53:43

when Jason and I started trying, I was pretty

53:45

stressed out and he was like, you're, we're not gonna have a baby

53:48

if you're like this. So I

53:50

had just quit and

53:51

I was like, I'm gonna take all this time off. I got pregnant.

53:53

I literally quit, immediately got pregnant. I

53:56

got pregnant actually that the night after what

53:58

we call like the funeral night at Ariana. I was like,

54:00

I have to go, I can't sleep over. I have to

54:02

go have sex now. I'm ovulating.

54:04

Yeah, I was like, I'm ovulating. I should have done it multiple times

54:07

today, but I guess I'll just get one in. So

54:11

I will say, you have your silver lining with scandaball,

54:13

so do I. I went home and that was the

54:15

time that we ended up conceiving. Oh my God. And

54:18

so I found out I was pregnant pretty much like I took on, I was like, I'll help

54:20

with this project and like get things kind of moving

54:22

along and get the logistics done. And then

54:24

I got pregnant. And it was fun to actually have

54:26

in the first trimester, especially to have stuff in the

54:29

first trimester, especially to have stuff to

54:32

do like that I had to do, like forced myself to do. But

54:34

so yeah, now this is all I'm doing

54:37

right now. But I'm still like, when people are

54:39

like, what do you do? I'm like, nothing, because this doesn't

54:41

feel like work. It feels like just like fun

54:43

job, like project to help them and to help friends.

54:45

And it's not like I'm like giving up. I'm like, oh,

54:48

I'm not going to get another job because I'm doing this. I'm

54:50

like, no, I wasn't planning on doing anything. So if

54:52

it ever starts to feel like super stressful or whatever,

54:54

I'll probably have them replace me or

54:57

something. But for now, it's kind of been a fun

54:59

project I've been doing.

54:59

Awesome. It doesn't feel like well,

55:02

another fun thing you can do throughout your pregnancy is come

55:04

back on shenanigans and host more episodes

55:06

of me because unfortunately I

55:08

have to go hop on a zoom. So

55:10

we're going to have to wrap

55:13

up these shenanigans today. But

55:15

I feel like we still have so

55:17

much that we can talk about. So

55:19

I would love to do it. Yeah. Yeah,

55:22

let's do it. Part two. Part two battle

55:24

the coast. All right. Thank

55:26

you guys so much. I hope everyone is good. Bye. Bye.

55:29
