Dr. J Sims’s inability to adhere to the ethical code of conduct while experimenting with black slaves is troublesome obviously and it’s quite hard to accept at this age. Slaves in the 19th and 18th centuries were considered a commodity which might explain but NOT excuse the inhumane experiments being conducted on their bodies. The guest acknowledges rationally that Dr. sims had positive and essential contributions to the field of gynecology albeit the means were not ethical. The third segment about the moon’s craters and wether we can determine their age is fascinating. I’m reminded of our ability to determine a Tree’s age by counting and analyzing the shapes/pattern of the circles found in their trunk although sadly such an experiment is destructive as cutting off the trunk is a necessary.
