Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, BJ, and special guest Nathan P. Butler (author of A Saga on Home Video: A Fan's Guide to U.S. Star Wars Home Video Releases) discuss Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. A man kills children because he doesn't want his wife to die.

Writer-director George Lucas had a lot of heavy lifting to do in this conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, and it shows. A bloated, if humorous, opening adventure is the spoonful of sugar the audience craves before going into a depressing story. Not everything works here, but thematically there's deeper and richer things going on than in the prior two prequels. Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid once again nail the landing in what could have been thankless roles. A polish by famed British playwright Tom Stoppard makes a notable difference to the gravity of the situation at hand. An end of an era to be sure.  Aside from producing his pet project World War II drama Red Tails and animated fairy musical Strange Music, Star Wars maestro George Lucas would basically retire from filmmaking after selling Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.
