There are plenty of Star Trek rewatch podcasts that discuss the show in a methodical, reasoned fashion. Seven of Wine, however, is something different - and something absolutely needed in the realm of Star Trek podcasts!It's the first rewatch podcast that best resembles how I watch Star Trek - enthusiastically, and with wine. They pick a random-ish episode (much like when a person is flipping around Netflix) to discuss, while also reviewing bottle of wine that vaguely connects to the episode. Which they also consume while recording. Jacqueline and Jennifer are hilarious, and it feels like you're watching Voyager with your two best friends: ranting about your favs, snarking about the ridiculous bits, and talking about the show with an absolute sense of affection. It's hard to find folks who love Voyager in a genuine and unironic way, so it's absolutely refreshing to have a podcast come at the show with pure love for it and its characters. I feel like this is the Star Trek podcast I've always wanted, and it finally exists.
