Confederate statues and symbols are being removed all over the country. This is long overdue for some, while others say that it’s a dangerous effort to erase history. Don speaks with the descendants of a Confederate general whose statue was recently toppled as they come to grips with their family's complicated family legacy. He also gets insights from author and political analyst Jared Yates Sexton who sheds light on the history of the Confederacy you didn't learn in grade school.

A pedantic way of raising an issue while failing to produce a counter argument. Bringing in a white and a black descendant of a slave owner is a cheap shot; none of them are experts in academia but they are presented as representatives of whites and blacks who are in similar circumstances. Besides, let us be honest, White people will have to be politically correct while discussing their ancestors on media platforms because if they don’t, they will crucified! As a liberal, I hate cancel culture for which those who present different ideas will not be condoned and most likely their hounded! Silence is not option but manipulating a debate is not acceptable. Also, one of the guests suggested a great idea which I think it will be embraced by all ( Pro removal vs Anti Removals of monuments ) ; add an inscription to statues that are controversial that will serve as an educational tool to the public ( residents and tourists ).
