In this latest episode from www.simpleasfat.com Jon Gaunt says you can forget about celebs like Tyson Fury, Kim Kardashian and Halle Berry backing Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diets as his dog has just gone low carb and he has never looked better.

In this funny but informative podcast Jon Gaunt explains that most dog food is 74 percent carbohydrates and he believe that, just as with humans, this is a recipe for disaster.

Jon’s toy poodle, Ambi, also suffers with epilepsy. As you may know Low Carb High Fat diets are an effective treatment for epilepsy in children and have been used since the 1920’s based on the Banting Diet.

So, Jon thought well what’s good for the Goose is good for the Gander or the Poodle and put his dog on LCHF. Jon says the results have been amazing and led to weight loss, more vitality, a better-looking coat and most importantly no epileptic fits since going low carb.

So, the question is can a Low Carb High Fat Diet control epilepsy in dogs? Jon Gaunt says, yes and his Toy Poodle is the living walking, barking proof.

Jon also talks about the benefits that he has felt himself since going low carb which he says are less depression, his gout eliminated and of course combined with walking he has reversed his Type 2 diabetes and got his blood pressure into the normal range.
