Laurel Lee Cozzuli, MC: Laurel Lee is comprehensively trained in various clinical trauma healing techniques and protocols. She worked for almost eight years as a mental health therapist in Arizona, USA. Most of her clients were victims of sexual assault, violent crime, narcissistic abuse, and domestic violence. For the last 25 years, she has extensively studied and practiced (and continues to study and practice) energy psychology techniques, life-transformational practices and spiritual healing methodologies. She is a Reiki Master through Sunlight Alliance[1] and a Divine Healing Hands Soul Healer through the Institute of Soul Healing and Enlightenment[2]. As a (now recovered and thriving) victim of narcissistic abuse, she is optimistic about the recent merging of the mental health and spiritual healing fields overall. She knows, first hand, that healing and thriving after narcissistic abuse requires an integrated, holistic approach.

Her unyielding views on strong interpersonal boundaries and healthy relationships spring from not only her hard-knock sentience gleaned as a victim, but also as a clinical therapist and a spiritual practitioner. Her stark writing style demystifies and exposes the typical slippery trickeries of narcissistic abuse that would otherwise remain hidden to most.

In spite of her heartfelt dedication to spiritual principles of forgiveness, love and compassion, Laurel is an emphatic voice against the blanket “forgive and forget” practices that are taught by most religious and spiritual doctrines today. When it comes to healing powerless emotional trauma, blanket forgiveness practice often reinforce entrenched cycles of abuse, and, sadly, fortify the power differential between the abuser and the abused. Instead, Laurel teaches an integrated and psychologically sound approach to forgiveness: one that pairs healthy interpersonal boundaries with physical, emotional, mental and spiritual congruence.

About Laurel’s book, The Giving Stump:Relationship frustrations? Fruitless arguments with your romantic partner? Anger? Resentment? Annoyance? Jealousy? Feeling misunderstood and manipulated? Maybe it’s not you. Learn to easily recognize narcissistic abuse in casual conversation, as well as the telltale signs of it often seen in its victims. Through a seemingly innocent relationship between a man and his tree stump, the beast is revealed – line by eerie line. A little awareness can go a long way when it comes to protecting yourself from this voracious, soul-destroying, yet almost invisible societal monster.  This is her first in a series of four books that takes readers through the throes of recognizing, surviving, healing and thriving after narcissistic abuse.
