Smart Enough or SE2KB is an Austrian staple much akin to the other legend the Wombat. SE2KB is a 12 yearold podcast, that like the wombat usually sees its best life around year 10, with average expectancy of 15. The podcast also drops solid loads at a regular bi monthly cadence with a cubed bi product that consists of 4 to 8 of what they claim is "content" in each poop. In truth SE2KBs Greg and Dan are a love and joy who love to have fun and a pretty good bite, making listening a real collaborative environment. Luckily that bite isn't the worst as their teeth have no roots, so all the Comedy and Science is Balanced by an every replaced ignorance. Lastly the hosts also glow bio luminescent under black lights...but I think we all know the science there. Truth be told I adore these guys and all they've done to bring me a critical mind and the ability to be wrong over the past 12 years. Can't wait for 12 more.
How have I not already reviewed this fantastic show? SE2KB is one of my very favourite podcasts. Each episode they cover a range of topics from the world of science, but they have a fun, unique way of looking at them. Taking on everything from milk and feathered dinosaurs (sorry Dan!) to Zombies and hangovers you’re always in for a treat. Through running features like Pimp-My-Time and The Cryptozoo the show takes an alternate look at points in history or mythological monsters with a humorous but still scientific view that makes you want to get involved and you can - if you find a mistake send it in and they’ll happily own up or discuss it ensuring the march of knowledge is set back on the correct path.Greg and Dan are not only passionate about the subjects but also incredibly funny and their friendship makes for an excellent partnership. Greg also has a sister podcast, Wah Wonders Why, where he tackles some more human subjects in the world of science. And let’s not forget the interviews, these are always fascinating with great guests. But the standout feature for me is 10 year anniversary episode where my son, Anton, and I got our question answered. If you’re looking for a very accessible, but still deep science show, with humour and a broad range of topics you could do a lot worse than these two veterans of podcasting!
