What does success mean to you?

Do you buy into the standard definitions about having so much money, so much property, a huge business or getting to the top in your profession?

What if there are other ways to define success? More than that, you get to define it for yourself without having to become an overachieving go-getter. Sound good? Welcome to the anti-hustle.

My guest Matthew Turner is a British author who lives in a small town in Yorkshire, England. Having previously published three novels and a non-fiction business book, he wrote ‘Beyond The Pale’ on the back of interviewing hundreds of successful entrepreneurs, authors, investors, and thought-leaders.

Gaining a unique insight into areas such as mindset, flow, and personal development, and a gaining reputation for crafting compelling stories out of other peoples’ lives, Matthew builds relatable fables for those looking to live a meaningful and purpose-driven life. As well as writing for himself, Matthew ghostwrites both articles and books for other successful entrepreneurs and thought-leaders, in-between spending time with his two children.

About 'Beyond The Pale': Ferdinand Foy has it all: success, youthful good looks, fame, and a soon-to-be hundred-billion-dollar company. He assumed he had it figured out, and that life would only get better.

Until one day a chance encounter forced him to ask, “Is this really it?”

Beyond The Pale is a business fable written for today’s fast-paced millennial that’s always switched on, ready to work, and with dreams to change the world.

It follows Ferdinand as he begins to question what success and fulfilment mean to him, travelling the world in search of answers to questions he never dare ask. Meeting an assortment of entrepreneurs, authors, musicians and spiritual healers, Ferdinand changes his entire outlook on life, and with it, the daunting prospect of walking away from the business he built from scratch.

Beyond The Pale provides a spiritual awakening to anyone so caught up in their business that they cannot see beyond what’s in front of them. Through Ferdinand’s own awakening, you’ll begin to question your own life and the pursuit of success that no longer makes sense.

As Ferdinand reaches the end of his journey, he finds the answer he was looking for. But first, he must figure out how to ask the right questions.

Podfluence is the show for business coaches who are aiming to grow their reach and recognition by mastering the methodologies to maximise the impact of your presentations. More and more coaches are realising that podcasts are one of the best ways to develop your personal brand, become a trusted voice and generate organic lead flow through strategic investment of time and energy.Relationship marketing is here to stay and there are few better ways to build relationships with your perfect future clients & customers than being on podcasts as a guest or starting your own podcast. Lots of people can tell you how to start a show, a few can show you how to grow a show but hardly anyone out there is showing you how you can become known as a key person of influence in your area of expertise by going on the right shows and by showing up in the right ways.Just as public speaking can increase your credibility and professional image, it all depends on being able to present yourself well, deliver messages with clarity, confidence and charisma as well as being able to keep people entertained and engaged whilst you have their ears. Few other formats have your voice going directly into the ears of most of your listeners the way podcasts do and the ability to have longer form conversations that allow people to better know you and understand how you can help them solve specific problems.Join me week by week as I share my own experience and expertise as well as those of other experts and valued voices who are maximising their impact through the medium of podcasts.
