Rachael discusses a murder that took place in 1991. Alan Leppard and his partner, Brenda Long, were settling down for the night. Just as they went to bed, a knock came at the door. Leppard answered and was shot at point blank range. With no ties to anything untoward, Long tried to find answers to who killed Leppard, making TV appearances to raise awareness, only for something sinister to befall her.
Theo delves into the one child policy in China, which led to an influx of abandoned children (mostly girls) and another horrifying result. Li Jingzhi was away on business in 1988, leaving behind her beloved two year old son, Mao Yin. While she was away, Mao Yin was kidnapped. A black market for sons had arisen in China and Mao Yin was a perfect candidate. Li Jingzhi would embark on a thirty-two year odyssey to discover what happened to her son.
As always, we finish off with a dumb criminal.
