In this episode, I get to sit down with Arwen Becker, a Retirement Planning Specialist in Seattle, WA. She is one of the founders and owners of Becker Retirement Group, a financial planning firm that focuses heavily on the women-only market. Arwen shares her own personal journey that led to her realization about the importance of financial planning and how that inspired her to cater to the women-only market.
Arwen and I discuss the reasons why there is such a huge disconnect between women and the area of finance, as well as some of the limiting beliefs that contribute to the disengagement among women. Arwen is also releasing a book soon, and she shares more about one of the key themes of the book — realizing what your core values are is the first step in financial planning. She also has some tips on what loan officers can do to create strategic partnerships with financial planners and it’s all about approaching them from a place of creating value and building a long-term relationship vs. a transactional mindset. Tune in to find out more!
