Story is an anthology series in which each season is a standalone tale. From the reliable 7 Lamb Productions, both entries released thus far have been considerably different in tone and genre but equally great.
Season one, The Walk, follows a group of friends as they walk across America. Not only a test on their physical and mental capacities, the journey challenges their relationships with one another as secrets and developments force them to reconsider who they are, who they can trust and rely on and what they want from life. Based loosely on creator Robert Lamb's trek across the States, The Walk is a realistic exploration of many facets of human nature.
Season two, The Stone House, sees a couple experiencing marital issues wash up on an island after a storm wrecked their boat. When they discover two inhabitants - the gruff and demanding Gavin and a quiet young boy called Noah - they believe themselves to be rescued. It soon emerges, however, that the history of their hosts is as sinister as their prospects.
I look forward to seeing what 7 Lamb concoct for a third season, should there be one.
