REPLAY from 10/14/19:  Some 400 years ago, the first Slave landed on these shores and we are still fascinating the consequences of that...Whether it's Prison population and reform, the miseducation of our youth, or various health issues, we can still see how slavery has impacted us.  As always we are looking forward to another great discussion and of course we will touch on the issues of the day as well...

I first got to know Sunny Slaughter when she was analyzing the New York Time Series that looks at this institution and redefines how African Americans look at themselves, and it is our pleasure to have her on the show tonight...  Sunny is a major expert on the Human Trafficking that is going on in America, and she and her daughter have been both victims of sexual assault and she speaks frankly about that and the inspiration that she has gotten from Harry Belafonte and others.......Sunny is also another guest that I discovered from listening to Sree's Sunday morning Readalong...

In addition to Sunny, we will be hearing from City Council member DeDreanna Freeman and of course we will also be hearing again from the folks bringing us the film Substance.
