Allie and Rae chat with their friend Katie about her journey to getting her PhD in history. Katie specializes in 20th century German History, specifically women and gender. Her dissertation is about Catholic women in Nazi Germany.  We talk about her research, the need to diversify  one's resume, being a woman in academia, having a child while in grad school, and being comfortable with "I don't know" when going into the archive.
