It's a good podcast, with clean audio and good hosts. But there are too many ads. 3+ ads at the beginning, two ad breaks for another 2-3 each, and 3+ at the end. I don't begrudge that they need to make money but this is a less and less tolerable listening experience the more episodes you listen to.
I haven't "tried" this podcast in awhile. Nowadays, so many podcast hosts want to be comedians. Look how many serious subject podcasts are tagged "comedy." Help me here. Just tell the story. I don't want comedy with history. I didn't check the episode if that tag was there but these hosts couldn't joke it was imitation jokes bcthey were laughing and giggling. This says Mysteries of the Morgan Abduction. I am a 9 minutes of 20 and not a word or I don't know if there was a word. I just heard the pronoun "he" so maybe they are talking about it through BAAAAD jokes and so many giggles and laughing about what isn't funny. We found this body killed by The Masons." hahahahaha. OMG Give it a break. ...."Joke-ary" seriously then giggle giggle hahaha. If I didn't start writing this review I would have shut this at 4 minutes. I'll be unfollowing. I lasted for 2/3 of the episode and learned nothing and heard nothing that made any sense...seriously. Maybe I picked a bad episode but it came up as a recent episode.
The content is great and I love the balance of information and personality from the hosts. I've listened to every episode! One disappointing change in the past few years is the increasing number of ads throughout the show. The content is usually appropriate for younger listeners but the ads are hit and miss. I would not let my students listen without me, which is a shame. I know this has more to do with iHeartradio than Holly and Tracy but it is still an issue.
