Sherman served on Volunteers of America Board of Directors for 8 years and then for 5 more years was involved in a Sacramento program with VOA to service over a thousand homeless clients with good results. He tells of the program, that it worked, but the funds were ended and so the program at a time that the housing crisis is growning. This offers a good multi-faceted model that worked and can do so again.
