We are dropping this surprise episode as a gift this holiday season, leaving out the ordinary intro and closing. The first three are traditional Jewish songs for Hanukkah, the next three are Solstice songs, and the rest are Christmas carols. While still limited culturally, these are the ones with which we have lived experience and felt comfortable sharing without appropriating. We tried to include as many aspects, states-of-being, and memories of this season as we could in health, positive, Blendingness kinds of ways. So much emotion for us behind these songs, even grief at times. It was a marvelously integrative healing experience.
This episode is only songs, with no talking or discussion of any holidays or anything else. Songs are in English, Hebrew, Yiddish, Latin, French, and Ukrainian. Song titles are listed below.
As always, due to the sensitive nature of the season and the power of music, please care for yourself/ves during and after listening to the podcast. Give yourself permission to skip songs or the episode if it’s not your thing or not helpful. Our intent was connection, expression, and comfort, and we hope you feel that as you listen. Many thanks for your ongoing support of us, the podcast, and the community.
