I really liked this podcast. It was short but very engaging and while it had the quality of a first podcast, the acting was amazing (especially the voice of the Trapped Man, wow!) And the story was compelling.Fair warning, it unfold like a metaphor for depression but it felt good at the end. Spoiler-ish below line-----I especially LOVED that there is a very down to earth explanation for the town and a clear resolution to the story. I feel like too many times these mystery podcasts tend to try and keep the mystery going or focus on too much of a convoluted explanation for it to really make sense... so although it might have felt wrapped up in too much of a nice bow, I really appreciated that.

Don't let the frame fool you. Yes, it's found footage, and yes, it's podcast-within-a-podcast. But this show is clever about weaving the two frames together, giving us not only the story of the Trapped Man on the tapes, but the impact these recordings have had on the podcasters presenting them. As one story unspools, the other tightens up, adding to the overall tension. Especially effective is the performance of Trapped Man, facing despair and isolation, and the frightening world he describes.

I absolutely loved this podcast. Slow-burn psychological horror with just enough of a twist to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Brilliant writing and great acting. The story was so interesting! I found the tapes to be confrontational and I felt like the trapped man was speaking directly to me. Uncomfortable, but in a weirdly good way.

Interesting concept. I like the mystery, but I feel like it could've been fleshed out more. I think if this had gone on longer and been further developed it'd be even better, but I can definitely appreciate what's here. And either way, there's something to be said for it actually having an ending; too many podcasts trail off without real closure.

Although it is found footage - a common genre - the story itself is quite unique and very compelling. As mentioned in other reviews, the acting performance on the tapes is quite impressive.
