The Abandoned Planes of Villamarzana

Gigi Stecca, a brewer and entrepreneur, assembled two planes in the middle of rural Italy, reportedly inspired by the Italian seniors who desired to board an airplane. "The Planes" operated as a pizza restaurant for many years until local governmental permit battles got the best of it. Today, the faux Renaissance art, the DC-6 airplane, the TU-134-A airplane, and the August Super Ranger helicopter sit in abandoned glory, waiting for a new investor to come along.
