This week, Ali and Nat ad lib with fellow Rose Bruford College alumnus, Maddy Hill. Maddy is best known for playing Nancy Carter, the daughter of Danny Dyer's Mick and Kellie Bright's Linda, on BBC's flagship soap opera, EastEnders, and more recently for the role of Ruby Spark on Casulty. She also featured in ground breaking television commercials, played the eponymous role in the Globe Theatre's 'Imogen', an adaptation of Shakespeare's Cymbeline, and also starred alongside Freddie Fox in the off-West End hit Midsummer Nights Dream at the Southwark Playhouse.
Maddy chats about her first memories of youth theatre and her love of playing absurd roles - specifically, eighty year old men and pieces of toast - going 'back to school' after graduating, her love of Shakespeare and dying milk blue in her first television appearance. Sorry; well aware we didn't stick to the 'rule of three' there but who cares, this is a great episode packed full of amazing conversation! Maddy is a very inspirational talker and speaks passionately about representation in the arts, mental health and staying motivated.
