Story seems promising but audio quality/sound design and voice acting is lacking. I could only seat through two episodes.
Excellent podcast. The radio show aspect/metaplot is a bit more on the campy side, but the individual archive stories are truly scary and have a much more serious tone. There's something here for everyone!
I really loved this show. It was weird and interesting in the best kinds of ways
I have to start out by stating that I don't usually do fictional podcasts. I have nothing against them, they just aren't usually for me. I'm too adhd to be able to pay attention without unintentionally zoning out. Trying to listen to or keep up with them is almost painful. But this one, not only did I get through it, I've returned to it THREE TIMES in full, and more times to just replay random beloved episodes. The characters are all so interesting, especially the BOBs. I've always loved all things space and alien, and the BOBs are so...unique to the genre. I can't even explain, you just have to witness them yourself. I'll just say that Blue and Kilt quickly became some of my favourite characters of all time. The entire cast of characters is fun, engaging, and theres just enough drama to be interested but they don't milk it too much like some do. It's realistic, relevent, and allows enough room for drama without forgetting the reason why people go to fiction in the first place (to get away from reality).Definitely if you want to experience reality a little bit to the left and up just a tick, this is the podcast for you. Also if you get into it and try to order an Iron Clad glass, sorry that's my fault that they're sold out. But seriously please go support the creators so that they can put more amaxing content out in the future. I have personally spoken with one of the creators many times, and he (Uri) is one of the most genuine, kind people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. This podcast was so, so very clearly made with an immense amount of love and passion.
In the shape of a late night university radio show, the Alexandria Archive weaves a fun tale of a strange campus and its equally strange city from the tidits revealed during spooky stories and calls from other Alexandria residents. It's very entertaining and silly. Sometimes the voices can be difficult to distinguish and the levels on the outro can be a little high but otherwise it is weird and entertaining.
Acting is a bit rough at times, but super fun metaplot and really interesting anthology-style anecdotes. Haven't been able to stop thinking about it since it ended.
