Serena Draper-Hendershot is the Director of Outreach at The Martin Center, a non-profit organization on the southeast side of Canton, OH dedicated to collaborating with as many community partners as possible to eternally change Canton for the better.

In this episode, Serena dives into her journey from high school to becoming the Director of The Martin Center. Along the way, she experienced a change in major, multiple deaths in her family, and an ex-boyfriend that was shot and killed all within the span of six months.

She experienced days where she wished that she wasn't here, but it all changed when she asked a 14yr old boy "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and he told her "I'm not even going to make it to 18, so why does it matter."
