Living in California didn’t prepare me for Earthquakes. I read the leaflets that are scattered in offices and apartments, but reading is not preparation. I can’t imagine being stranded in any area outside of 1 mile radius of my home in Southern California without a car. It’s almost impossible. Take into account the Homeless crisis that plagued almost every single county in CA and I can be sure that the State of CA and all of its previous branches of governments ( State and Local ) never took this matter seriously.
