I really enjoyed the first few episodes but the series really lost me mid way through and only got worse in terms of writing. I really found the period piece cast to be darling, and I enjoyed hearing the creator interviews and bloopers. The sound design was fair-to-good, but without a good story it's simply not worth the listen, and no amount of time dedicated to having a character telling me (as a listener) how to feel about the story can fix that... And they dedicated way too much time to telling us how to feel about each section with their modern day protagonist, which is weak storytelling.
I'm turned off from future seasons in that I also feel like the show is inclusive not for the sake of the narrative or the cast/creators, but for the sake of checking off boxes and marketing.
