The more I listen to The Book of Constellations, the more I appreciate its Craft. With high quality audio, great voice acting and a narration that flows at near-perfect pace, this fascinating story already has me hooked & I’m in awe (and a wee bit jealous) of W Keith Tims’ talents in this one man Audio Drama.
This show is a great Sci-Fi podcast with a very interesting and well-constructed story that reels you in and keeps you hooked. Wonderfully entertaining and you’ll enjoy Simon’s tale more and more with each episode!
The Book of Constellations is the kind of show that slowly, but surely, grows on you and takes you in the more you listen. It´s about the fight between the good and evil, but thoroughly nuanced by the words and deeds of Rael. Through him we see the world in much more nuance, but at the same time much more simple and straightforward ways too. The narration is really great, performed by a talented artist who gives each person a distinct voice (the slightly echoing effect on Raels voice is amazing). The story is thoughtful, well paced, and the sound design is just perfect to capture the athmosphere, action and emotions at the right time. An amazing one-person-show (so impressive!) that deserves a bigger audience
Just an absolutely gorgeous story that will leave you with a sense of wistful melancholy when you realize that the journey has one just begun. Everything feels so perfectly thought out, from the tone of the narration, to the wonderfully simple yet extremely effective sound design, to the perfect mood setting music. The characters feel archetypal, but in such a modern way! Especially appreciate the interweaving of progressive concepts throughout that never feels preachy. Essential listening for anyone who just wants to be told a good story.
The storytelling is top tier, and i was hooked from the beginning. The natural feeling cadence of the experience and pacing make for a great time. Highly suggested for mystery and esoteric sci fi.
The Book of Constellations is an apt name, because I have enough to say about it to fill a book of my very own, but I’ll keep this simple. The Book of Constellations is a masterclass in creating a coherent, and meticulously fitted together story. Not just in writing, but in sound design, and scoring. The creator, W. Keith Tims, takes an “audiobook” approach to this story, his voice is wonderful and because of the wonderfully crafted and coherence in the production you will easily find yourself lost and engrossed in the story. To put this simply, the Book of Constellations is a Story made of Stars.
A thoughtful reflection on the human condition, this show takes a deep dive into the complex entanglements that make us who we are. It is more than sci fi. You'll need your heart and brain screwed on tight here. This one STICKS.
Adore this story thus far. Thank you for sharing your art/content.
A story carefully crafted. The type of tale you feel in your chest, as it were. Strong narration, writing, and a sense of momentum. It pulls you along this road trip and along so much more.
"I am me, is that not enough?"
What a beautiful show this is. A true gem amongst audio dramas. The sound design, storytelling and narration all come together beautifully to create this thoroughly enjoyable show. Thank you for this!
A great narrative podcast that draws you in instantly with raw humanity and otherworldly strangeness. Keith is a stellar performer of all the roles in the show and he achieves that magical state of making you forget you're listening to only one person. His characters come alive through complex interactions and portrayals and dialogue. The production is top notch, with the soundtrack adding just the right mood throughout. A very bingeable series with humor, relatable situations, and heart-pounding moments that you will love all the way to the end.
In the world of audio fiction, there are few that intrigue as well as give hope. While I can’t necessarily say I’m an apostle of the mythological Main character, I do appreciate their philosophies and capacity for forgiveness and understanding. I would strongly recommend this beautiful story if you are looking for a reprieve from the confusion that is our world.
Great audio drama in the purest sense of the term. Superb, committed voice acting delivering lyrical writing that rings true from the get-go. Epic, ethereal score that's pitched just right and never invasive. W. Keith Tims really is a talent. I can't believe I wasn't already listening to this podcast.
Just excellent, superb writing and narration brings a beautiful story to life.
It's a beautiful story. And I love the main character's voice. So soothing!
This is one of those podcasts that makes you a little jealous knowing you didn't create it. It's a thoughtful, slower paced podcast that grows on you over a period of time. You start because of the great cover art, continue for Rael, and stay around until the feed dies out with the sun because of the staggered and well constructed world building and compelling narrative.
The way this story is crafted is mind blowing. Somehow, W. Keith Tims makes you care deeply for each and every character almost immediately to the point where you wish you could sit down and have a beer with them. The lessons taught in The Book of Constellations are wonderful, and life changing should you let them be. Excellent work, Mr. Tims.
I’ve finally listened to The Book of Constellations. It’s beautiful, engaging, terrifyingly and beautifully relatable. The final episode had me in silence for a good while after it ended. It will make you think, it will make you smile, and it will make you love… everyone.
