This issue has to be discussed loudly; 7 year olds shouldn’t be arrested unless they vomit an act of violence such as pointing a gun at someone, but a tantrum is not. Autistic children can be challenging and I don’t disagree with this statement, but a school who has behavioral counseling should have implemented policies that deal with such disturbance. handcuffing is certainly not be expected as a first resort but Firing the officer in charge is not a solution if he/she was not rained or encouraged to act in this way by the management.
