The White House budget proposal includes drastic cuts to food assistance, in the name of compassion for taxpayers.  Triada Stampas, vice president for research and public affairs at the Food Bank for New York City, talks the current state of food aid in New York City, the impact of the proposed cuts to the federal (and city) budgets, and the low wages that leave even fully employed workers in need of assistance.
