Honest and straightforward

Drill Sergeant to Drill Sergeant we have a whole lot in common and i can listen to any episode and enjoy. I just discovered him through the "Vortex" about a month ago. Now i am able to go back and have him as a spiritual coach for the 2020's era.

This a take no prisoners podcast. You could easily get be offended if you don't know the Catholic Faith or are not sincere in wanting to know more. Joe doesn't back away from anything. I find it always interesting. His stories at the end and quotes are great. Mandatory Wednesday (day its dropped) listening.

I started listening to the Cantankerous Catholic podcast during Lent 2022 (in an effort to limit time wasted on other social media sites). My husband and I have been married almost 12 years and we currently have 9 children at home. Joe Sixpack's words of encouragement to evangelize remind me that God has entrusted the souls of our children to our care, and there's dozens of opportunities to instruct them in matters of faith every day.I appreciate the news commentary, in part because we're living outside the U.S. right now (husband is Active Duty Army), even if the dialogue is a little far-right leaning for my tastes. Still, I can listen and start my own lively dialog with the resident cantankerous Catholic in my home; my husband!

Relates true Catholic teaching and backs it up with supports from the Bible, Catechism of the Catholic Church, and papal encyclicals and documents, the writings of the ancient teachers in the Church.

Very much enjoy this beautiful podcast.

If you do not want the truth, find another podcast because Joe Sixpack tells the truth and does not apologize for it. Best Catholic podcast ever! I am grateful for this podcast.

Yup, he can be cantankerous. He says a lot of things that are difficult to hear and you kinda wish weren’t true, but deep down we really know they are. We need a guy like Joe to remind us of what we are headed for if we bury our head in the sand. On the other hand he shows how good life will be by following the teachings of Jesus.

I first read articles by Joe Sixpack on Church Militant. Originally, I thought it was an employee of CM because of the content, which was to the point and very Catholic. Then came an interview of Michael Voris, and, from this, I learned that Joe Sixpack is of a separate Catholic apostolate! Since then, I look forward to Wednesdays with the Cantankerous Catholic as more fuel in this spiritual warefare in the fight for the salvation of souls. His accent may sound like Bible-belt protestantism, but, man, what comes out is absolutely 100% pure Catholic. I became a donor, in addition to two other Catholic apostolates that fire the faithful up to inform as well as to get out and evangelize. May God bless this apostolate abundantly!!!
