Angel is a graduate of Howard University and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Kentucky where she was a Nikky Finney fellow. She is currently a Ph.D. in English student at Rutgers University where she teaches undergraduate English courses while working towards her degree. She is a writer and a poet. She shares her heart with the Navigators as it relates to African American history, literature, and overcoming the stigma associated with mental health.
