Homeland is an American political thriller television series developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa based on the Israeli series Hatufim. It is currently on it's sixth season and a seventh and final eighth season have been planned.

This episode starts with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) getting a tip that an American prisoner of war (POW) has been turned. Not long after getting this tip a previously assumed dead POW researches. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) has been missing for eight years and assumed dead for six. Claire has his apartment bugged illegally and starting monitoring him. Nicholas's wife Jessica (Morena Baccarin), having moved on after Nicholas's "death," attempts to navigate her relationship with Mike Faber (Diego Klattenhoff). 

The episode ends with Nicholas lying about his activities while a POW and Claire discovering that Nicholas is sending messages, via finger tabs, during live broadcasts.
