Jay Islaam interviews award-winning comedian Paul Sinha, who will be performing at the brand new Laff Attack comedy club in Birmingham on Saturday 15th April 2017.
Paul is perhaps best known as one of the general knowledge gurus (“The Chasers”) on ITV quiz show The Chase. In this interview he talks about why he decided to abandon his medical career and how he transitioned from being a doctor to being a full-time standup comedian. He also tells me about the best and worst parts of being a standup comic, and why he loves performing at the comedy coalface in front of smaller comedy crowds.
Finally, Paul very openly talks about being a former gambling addict, and about the political differences he has with his boyfriend, and why, despite being left-wing, he refuses to publicly support the Labour party.
You can find out more about Paul Sinha by visiting his website or by following him on Twitter.
