Adam and Mark chat with Justin Taylor about his most recent story collection, Flings, but mostly about Phish. Ganga Goo Balls? Big Cyprus?  Have Justin and Adam really been to a collective 37 Phish shows? The guys analyze a bit of Phish! (N.B.: The episode was recorded before the passing of the great Harris Wittels.) Then “GK” stops by and spins tales of his hometown’s discontent with some changes at the Chatterbox Cafe, and the time the ’86 Wobegon Whippets incinerated a fraternal organization. Justin tries to pass off another author’s book as his own, which reminds GK of that wild Sunday when the Lutheran pastor crossed the street and preached a sermon at the Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility. Also: the return of Jacob Silverman, who’s been hanging out at the Consolation Prize HQ since Capote’s (apparently unsuccessful!) attempt on his life. 

Drinking game: drink every time you hear someone uncork a wine bottle or set down a beer on the microphone table. When the guys get to the game, “Hashtag Andrew Dice Clay a Novel,” be prepared for uncomfortable silences and nervous beer shuffling—are you drinking yet?
