The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Andre Perry. A fellow in the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution, Dr. Perry investigates "race and structural inequality, education, and economic inclusion." An award-winning journalist and activist, his 2020 book, Know Your Price: Valuing Black Lives and Prosperity in America's Black Cities, examines how areas with high populations of black people are deliberately sabotaged. Dr. Perry's work provides evidence to shatter the racist myths that black people's moral failures and collective shiftlessness is to blame for our problems.
