Ambient Music Special



In this episode of The Dark Corner, DJ Evil Dave presents an ambient music special. That is, he compiles and mixes ten atmospheric tracks. First, he describes the qualities of the genre. For instance, this free form style provides music with which to relax. Play it in the background as you write during National Novel Writing Month. Alternatively, listen as you meditate. Additionally, Dave lists a number of artists within the genre.



Also, Dave reveals how easy it was to mix the various tracks. Indeed, the result may sound like one, continuous piece of music. The songs possess similar traits. That is, each paints sweeping soundscapes with little regard for time signature. Nevertheless, Dave lists the artists and songs in the order they appear in the playlist.

First, experimental band from Greece, 2L8, performs This Turtle Swims Faster than Expected. The song appears on the album, HE&SHE. After that, Polly Fae plays Cypress and Stardust from Metamorphosis. Also, Attrition offers The Blue Forest from Millions Of The Mouthless Dead.



Furthermore, Alio Die & Lorenzo Montanà provide Vacant Lights Disclose the Shadows from Projekt – Spring 2019. Also, we feature Out in the Open by Nine Inch Nails from Ghosts V: Together. Next, Erik Wollo performs Ravel Peak from Threshold Point. Also from the Projekt – Spring 2019 compilation, Steve Roach offers Liminal.



Additionally, Jarguna and Friends play Sweet Awakening from Trapped Vol. 3. For the penultimate track, Black Tape For A Blue Girl provides Please Don’t Go from These Fleeting Moments. Finally, Deception Cost performs Outro.
