On the way back from the gig at a Moe Football Club Dave learns that Tulky worked as an opera actor at the Sydney Opera House - odd job with some great dressing room. And everyone knows it's got a great canteen... everyone, right?  Another highlight before comedy during Tulky's acting days - Neighbours. He played a stalker and a drug dealer without much of an audition... Casting - "Can you run away?" Tulky - "Can I!!!!!" They hired him.   Also, Nick Capper has taken up residence in Dave's station wagon. He chimes in with some Marc Maron wisdom.   The Debrief is produced by Nearly. More info - nearly.com.au/thedebrief More info - www.nearly.com.au/thedebrief   Socials Dave on Twitter Dave on Facebook Nearly on Twitter Nearly on Facebook

He's increasingly political and off to a party. Dave's giving him a lift there. Warrnambool raised, former Triple J Breakfast co-host and star of Reality Bites (remember that on ABC TV). Plenty of other strings to his bow. Dave also does a bit of reminiscing from his recent stint on ABC Melbourne.   Tom's chosen Suzanne Vega.... hold on, no... sorry, he's chosen I want to destroy you by Soft Boys.   The Debrief is produced by Nearly. More info - nearly.com.au/thedebrief   Thanks to our sponsors Shebah Rideshare - all the drivers are women! Comic Tommy Dassalo is best known for being one half of the Little Dum Dum Club, and Dave reckons Tommy and his podcast partner Karl Chandler are ripe for a Martin/Molloy style bust up. It’s all about early 2000s FM breakfast radio comedy stars - and Tommy going to Nova live broadcasts with his dad in his school uniform.   Tommy's chosen song is The Man by The Killers hot off their AFL Grand Final show.   The Debrief is produced by Nearly. More info - nearly.com.au/thedebrief   Thanks to our sponsors Shebah Rideshare - all the drivers are women! It’s the Debrief with a difference this week - as Dave and former half of Lano and Woodley and third of Found Objects, Colin Lane get driven to the Gold Coast airport after a gig for Total Tools (a store that’s not for you, it’s for the tradies). Colin’s dad was a tyre salesman in Perth, and would get in trouble with his bosses for not drinking enough with clients, but contrary to popular opinion, he was not the subject of the Robert Drewe novel, The Shark Net. Tune in for chat about the Scouts, both being 52 years old and a very good actress in Let Loose Live who’s name was possibly Celia DeBurgh (but Colin can’t be sure…). And did you know this is Colin Lane's first ever podcast?   Song this week is The Machinations, No Say In It - and don't get your new age bands mixed up - The Machinations were a lot cooler than Pseudo Echo   The Debrief is produced by Nearly. More info - nearly.com.au/thedebrief   Thanks to our sponsors Shebah Rideshare - all the drivers are women! Pantos, walking through the West End with a pan of boiling soup, riding motorbikes in isolation, Dublin chicken shops, many different dinners, recommendations, career choices and more. Ross lives out on a farm so the time spent stuck at home hasn't been cramped. For someone who's all about live gigs, that's been missing of late. Probably the longest Debrief episode ever and there were very short odds it would've been with Ross Noble.   Ross Noble podcast here! Karl Chandler, co-host of The Little Dum Dum Club, caught the tram to Josh Earl's podcast recording so Dave could give him a lift home for this episode. Be regailed with the tales of Chandler's Deli (and the subsequent chain-retail-start-ups from there), paternal Eric Clapton deprevation, Raw Comedy's counter-intuitive consolation and The Debrief questions.
