As someone who dislikes leaving his home and struggles with talking to people, this show is painfully relevant. Eli Barraza’s voice for Peri is so sweet and soft, and the pacing of the nervous rambling perfectly exemplifies mannerisms of an agoraphobic young woman. The cast of characters Peri has met on her travels so far have all been touchingly human, but the story has only really got interesting with the tenth episode, “Whitecaps.” Peri now has another person with her on this adventure, and I can’t wait to see how their relationship develops.
The sound effects and editing are both great, but I don’t recommend listening to this one in the car or without headphones. Because of Peri’s shyness, there are a lot of instances where the dialogue is so quiet you really have to strain to hear.
