The need to make an event or situation perfect can flare up in all of us; weddings, first birthdays, dinner parties, prom, big client meetings....it happens to all of us at one time or another.
But what about those of us that struggle with the need for perfection
every day
of the year? How do we handle the urge to kick into overdrive?
In this episode we discuss the two sides of holiday planning: the need for all things (big or small) to be perfect in order to have a good time, and those that prefer to, "wing-it" because the details don't matter to them.
At the end of the day it's important to recognize that being together and grateful is what the holiday season is actually about, and if some small detail doesn't happen it won't take away from the overall experience.
So let's talk about perfectionism during the holiday season.
