Kit has such a love for history and for India that it shows in his work. Like a lot of histories of "India", its focus is heavier on northern India, but he makes an effort to balance it out and bring in other parts of India too, and succeeds at least partially. The focus is on narratives, not strict historical analyses, so it's not a history lesson, just one plausible story of India that we can reconstruct with historical evidence.
