"Most people are probably vaguely familiar with Genghis Khan, and perhap Kublai. But for an empire so large and that left such a large mark on history, there's much more to the story than just that. From the beginning of the coalition of tribes that would go on to conquer the world to its successor states - literal or spiritual - the podcast does a great job of following the events over such a large span of territory in a coherent way. The brutality, humanity and ingeniousness of the Mongols is hard to now be absolutely captivated by."
