“If you intend to change, decide what you want and live your life accordingly.” - Steve Maraboli

Hello folks and welcome once more to another episode of “How to Be a Grownup” podcast, the show that I created to help you to become the happiest, healthiest and most productive adult that you are capable of becoming. I have an unbelievably fabulous guest on the podcast for you today. Today I had the humble privilege of sitting down with Cassy Joy Garcia, owner of “Fit and Fed” blog, podcast and soon to be nationally distributed BOOK! Now, I am going to give you a little bit of a background on my amazing guest at the top of our conversation, but I want to take a minute right now and just chat with you a little bit about why I was interested in sharing Cassy’s powerful voice with you guys.

Over the course of our conversation, you will learn about the way that Cassy took control of her health, her life, her business and began to make such a huge positive impact on the world. I want you to understand that you have the same ability. You have it within you to take control of your life and make something amazing out of it. So often many of us forego what we want MOST for what we want in the moment. We fall into the traps of watching too much Netflix, when we could be learning a new skill, or honing an existing one towards perfection. We struggle with healthy eating, hoovering a bunch of pop tarts and Cheese Its when we could be filling our stomachs with food that gives the vitality and vibrance that we deserve. We spend time entangled and spiritually lost in constructed drama, internal violence and other social disasters, when we could be giving and compassionate towards others. We all struggle with this ladies and gentlemen, myself included. By I want you to hear me when I tell you that the struggles of yesterday, do not define your ability to succeed today. The secret of lasting and profound change is to move your mind’s focus from fighting the old to building the new. When you give up the attachment to the bad habits of your past, when you give up your justifications for eating that junk food because you had a long or tough day, when you give up your excuses as to why you are not living the active lifestyle that your body desperately deserves, when you stop telling yourself that it is ok that you are purposefully putting negativity out into the world, it is then and only then that you start to live in harmony with the universe around you. You start to be in tune with your life’s true purpose. And as I always say, your life’s true purpose is to live up to your birthright that you deserve to be happy, healthy and live an extraordinary life.

Some topics we cover over the course of the show:
-What brought Cassy from a place of feeling low to being the empowered and health driven entrepreneur that she is today?
-What simple steps does Cassy believe that you can take to begin living a more health centered life?
-What does Cassy believe makes for a “grownup” of substance?
-And so much more!
